Happy Hump Day All! Its getting a little cold outside. It was 9 degrees when I woke up this morning. At least I'm not up at my Aunts house in Minnesota where it was -23 yesterday. That's without the wind chill (-45 with wind). Forget that. I would much rather be in Florida where it is currently 67 Degrees, with a high of 76 today....
Picture this-
Go to work every day of the year, come out and the weather is between 60 degrees (winter) and 90 degrees (summer). That's the weather in the Florida Keys. I can keep doping this fluctuation of temperatures. I think we saw 105 this summer, and now we are in the single digits? That is a crazy difference in temperature change. At least be consistent mother nature, please? Its supposed to snow Friday. If this screws up my weekend plans, I am going to be one unhappy soldier.... Its bad enough its too cold to run outside. Before you jump to any conclusions, no, I'm not afraid of the cold to run. Its the ice. Legs get broken on ice, and I'm thinking safety first.
Well, thats all I have for this morning. Keep rocking all, and by god, try to stay warm....
Colder Weather
By Zac Brown Band
She'd trade Colorado if he'd take her with him
Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in,
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay,
She's answered by the tail lights
Shining through the window pane
[Chorus:]
He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're ramblin' man
You ain't ever gonna change
You gotta gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'
At a truck stop diner just outside of Lincoln,
The night is black as the coffee he was drinkin',
And in the waitress' eyes he sees the same 'ol light shinin',
He thinks of Colorado
And the girl he left behind him
He said I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
She said you're ramblin' man
You ain't ever gonna change
Got a gypsy soul to blame
And you were born for leavin'(born for leavin')
Well it's a winding road
When your in the lost and found
You're a lover I'm a runner
We go 'round 'n 'round
And I love you but I leave you
I don't want you but I need you
You know it's you who calls me back here
Oh I wanna see you again
But I'm stuck in colder weather
Maybe tomorrow will be better
Can I call you then
Cause I'm a ramblin' man
I ain't ever gonna change
I gotta gypsy soul
And I was born for leavin' (born for leavin')
And when I close my eyes I see you
No matter where I am
I can smell your perfume through these whispering pines
I'm with your ghost again
It's a shame about the weather
I know soon we'll be together
And I can't wait till then
I can't wait till then
