Welcome to Tuesday

Happy Tuesday All! We are inching closer to another weekend. I think this weekend I will take that much needed time off to relax. After 3 sessions of physical therapy, and all of my walking last Saturday, its much needed. My whole body still hurts.

Today is going to be a long work day, then depending on when I get out, Gym tonight, then sleep...

Super Short blog today, lots of work to do!

Buried way beneath the sheets I think she's having a meltdown
Finding it hard to fall asleep she won't let anyone help her
The look on her face a waste of time she won't let go gonna roll the dice
Loosing her grace starts to cry I feel her pain when I look in her eyes
I want ta be I want everything, I want everything
Somewhere she is on the streets trying to make things better
Praying to God and breathing deep gotta break this long obsession

If I had everything would I still want to be alive or want to be high [2x]
Now and then she talks to me and sometimes writes me letters

What a weekend!

Happy Monday All! Well, today my whole body is killing me, so lets get to the nitty gritty of my weekend.

Friday- Went home and relaxed. I knew it was going to be an early Saturday morning, so I figured I would take as much relaxation time as possible.

Saturday- Woke up at 0130. Couldn't sleep, and I had to be up at 0230 anyway, so I got up. Showered then it was out the door. After two detours on 95 because it was closed down, I made it to Richmond at 0600. Met up with the guys, got some coffee, then it was time to head to the track. Bad idea number 1, Beer pong is a bad idea before 8am... Oh well, we did it anyway. After a few games of that it was time to play Corn Hole. I realized that I get much better the more alcohol consumed. I know before the race we ended up hustling the guys across from us. We also took quite a few walks through out the day, scoping out the scene. Well, after some more beer pong, some flip cup, and partying with the older people next to us, it was time to head into the race. Bad idea #2, leaving the race, having no idea where you are going. I think I walked around the track between 4-6 times. Now those who don't know, Richmond is a 3/4 mile track, so add in the grandstands and all, its about a mile around. Finally, someone from our group pointed me in the right direction, and it was time to head back to the hotel. Don't worry, I'm smart enough not to drive.

Sunday- Drove home, cleaned out the truck, and recovered....

Well, that's pretty much all. I don't remember much of the race, but all-in-all, it was a great time. I hope you all had a great weekend!!!

Its Here!!!

Happy Friday! Well the time has finally come! We have all made it through the week and this time tomorrow I will be meeting up with family and friends to celebrate life! Well, that is, we will be tailgating and watching a NASCAR race, but I'm sure there will be something to celebrate!

Well, here's my weekend:

Friday- Work. Afterwards, going to the grocery store to pick up a few items, then pack the truck up so that I'm not doing it at 3am. Then its going to be an early night for me.

Saturday- Up at 0245. Drive down to Richmond to meet up with everyone. Parking lot opens at 0700 and we plan on being the first ones there. Set up for the party, then just hang out until the race starts! 1900, race starts. Lets Go Smoke and Dale Jr!!!! Afterwards, its off to the hotel, where most likely the party will continue.

Sunday- Up early to drive home. Then its yard work the rest of the day, along with a whole lot of recovering!

Well, last night I watched the NFL draft. I can agree with the Jets first pick, but come on, do we really need a Defensive Tackle every year? This is the 3rd year in a row that they have taken one. I guess we will see what pans out for them. Maybe a QB in the second round?

Well, That's it! if anyone will be in the Richmond area, feel free to stop by! We will be in 3 trucks (2 Chevy's and my Ford).

Have a great one all!

Getting Closer

Less than 48 hours until I am driving down to Richmond for the Tailgate party... Ummm, I meant NASCAR Race.

Happy Thursday All! I hope your plans for this weekend are starting to come together. If you are going to be at the race, look me up, we are going to have food, games, and of course beer! Its going to be a great time with friends and family, and its the kind of party I just love! We even had signs made up!

Physical Therapy was pretty good last night. Are we making progress? I'm not sure. All I know is that Electro Shock Stimulation is my new best friend! I'll keep going, but hopefully, we will fix me soon, because at $45 every time I go, this stuff is getting expensive.

Well, That's all I really have for today. I'm too tired to think at the moment. Have a great Thursday all! I know I will.

Piece Of My Heart
by Janis Joplin

Oh, come on, come on, come on, come on!

Didn't I make you feel like you were the only man - yeah!
An' didn't I give you nearly everything that a woman possibly can ?
Honey, you know I did!
And each time I tell myself that I, well I think I've had enough,
But I'm gonna show you, baby, that a woman can be tough.

I want you to come on, come on, come on, come on and take it,
Take it!
Take another little piece of my heart now, baby!
Oh, oh, break it!
Break another little bit of my heart now, darling, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Oh, oh, have a!
Have another little piece of my heart now, baby,
You know you got it if it makes you feel good,
Oh, yes indeed.

You're out on the streets looking good,
And baby deep down in your heart I guess you know that it ain't right,
Never, never, never, never, never, never hear me when I cry at night,
Babe, and I cry all the time!
But each time I tell myself that I, well I can't stand the pain,
But when you hold me in your arms, I'll sing it once again.

I'll say come on, come on, come on, come on and take it!
Take it!
Take another little piece of my heart now, baby.
Oh, oh, break it!
Break another little bit of my heart now, darling, yeah,
Oh, oh, have a!
Have another little piece of my heart now, baby,
You know you got it, child, if it makes you feel good.

I need you to come on, come on, come on, come on and take it,
Take it!
Take another little piece of my heart now, baby!
Oh, oh, break it!
Break another little bit of my heart, now darling, yeah, c'mon now.
Oh, oh, have a
Have another little piece of my heart now, baby.
You know you got it - whoahhhhh!!

Take it!
Take it! Take another little piece of my heart now, baby,
Oh, oh, break it!
Break another little bit of my heart, now darling, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
Oh, oh, have a
Have another little piece of my heart now, baby, hey,
You know you got it, child, if it makes you feel good.

3 Days Left

Counting down the days to Richmond and seeing family. Happy Hump Day All! Its going to be a great day. Why you may ask, because I said so. No matter what happens on any given day, you will get through it, and happiness is right on the other side.

Today is round two of physical therapy. Oh boy, they are going to hurt me like usual. Oh well, I will be better in the end.

OK, so here are a few things I have learned over the years about women (Settle down ladies, its all a joke, don't get your panties in a bunch... unless your into that type of thing). Here we go.... (Some of this is common knowledge, and may have been seen before on other sites).

1) The Do I look fat question is a trap. If we say yes, then we are in the doghouse for a long, long time. If we say no, you will continue to think you are fat, and call us liars. Honestly, most of us don't care. If you aren't happy with how you look, change it. As long as we find you at all attractive, and sex is there, we don't care. Twigs suck, and 300lbs woolly mammoths are gross.... Find your own happy median.

2) We don't care what you wear. Show some cleavage and any straight man will be happy. If we were fashion designers, we may care, but at the same time, we probably won't be straight.

3) All women are crazy in some right. The goal in every man, whether they tell you or not, is to find the one most sane. Men are too, but this is about women.

4) We all know women have the "look" to get what they want. We are starting to get used to it. Change it up from time to time. Crying also doesn't work for some guys. For me however, I'm a sucker for tears.

5) Tell us what you want. We don't like to guess. If you want to have sex, tell us. If you want to just be friends, tell us. If you want to be in a relationship, tell us. Trust me, we will let you know what is OK with us. No use in hiding feelings, people will most likely choose the opposite of what you want any ways.

6) If you ask what we think of your friend, be ready for an honest opinion, and if she's hot, be ready to be asked for a threesome.

7) Men get jealous. It happens. If you go out with 5 other girls and 5 other guys, and you didn't invite us, yes we are going to most likely think something is going on. By the way, this would not be considered a "girls night". How would you feel in the same situation? Yup, thought so....

8) Redneck women are the best ones. If we ask you to come fishing with us, we want you to. If we are going to go fishing with the guys, it means, we are going fishing with the guys. Don't read too much into it. At that point, don't read to much into anything, most of us are too dumb to think that much.

9) Don't ever ask if we want to have sex. The answer is always Yes. Had a bad day, yes we want it. Just got done fighting, yes we want it. You just got done at the gym, off work, etc... YES!!!!

10) If you can cook, and care for us, you are a keeper. It never gets old. I'm not saying that you need to have all the responsibility of keeping a house up, or have to be Mrs. Clean, or a happy housewife. I'm just saying that if you do this most guys are less likely to stray (I say most, because I myself, never cheat, but lets face it, some men are scum).

OK, OK, ladies don't go Feminist on me, I'm just having fun for the most part (I'll let you pick and choose what I'm serious about). Smile, every day you live you are one day closer till you die, and you never get any do-overs!

Have a great day all! Let the comments roll on this, I'm waiting!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Tuesday All! The world still spins as we speak, and I'm tired. However, a few things are going down, as we count down to my weekend in Richmond.

Last night I started physical therapy for my knee. Nope, still doesn't feel good. I'm sore as hell this morning. My physical therapist says that all of this will help. At $45 every time I go, it sure as hell better. She's hot, so I'll trust her opinion. Lol, shit, even if she wasn't I would, just because I want to get better, and I am tired of being in constant pain.

Happy 105th Birthday to the Army Reserves. Lets hope that you are around for the next 105 years. The way the Army is transitioning, You may not, but we will see! All I know is I will continue to be the best soldier I possibly can.

Well, Not to much to say today, I have lots to think about, but I'm not getting into all that today.

"The Army Goes Rolling Along"

Verse:

March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free.
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory.
We’re the Army and proud of our name!
We’re the Army and proudly proclaim:

First Chorus:

First to fight for the right,
And to build the Nation’s might,
And the Army goes rolling along.
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army goes rolling along.

Refrain:

Then it’s hi! hi! hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong;
For where’er we go,
You will always know
That the Army goes rolling along.

Second Chorus:

Valley Forge, Custer’s ranks,
San Juan Hill and Patton’s tanks,
And the Army went rolling along.
Minute men, from the start,
Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.

Refrain:

(same as above)

Third Chorus:

(slower, more freely)
Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we’re right,
And we’ll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.

Refrain:

Then it’s hi! hi! hey!
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong; (two! three!)
For where’er we go,
You will always know
That the Army goes rolling along! (keep it rolling!)
And the Army goes rolling along!

There is No Rest

Happy Monday All!!! Yea, its the start to a new week, but look on the bright side, you woke up. If you didn't, you wouldn't be reading this!

This weekend was supposed to be a nice relaxing weekend of camping... That didn't happen! I had fun though and that's all that really matters. Next weekend is going to be epic. Here's last weekend:

Friday- Work, Then instead of waiting for the next morning, I went and helped my buddy move. Good thing I brought the truck to work. Got home and cuddled up with a bottle of wine. My spelling is horrible when I am drinking, and no, I wasn't drunk. However, everyone lets me know when I spell things wrong on Facebook. Oh well, this is life.

Saturday- Up bright and early, so I went shopping. Started at WalMart and bought a few necessities for next weekend. I even got a Tony Stewart shirt for a dollar. Yes, the little things make me happy. Then I went to the new used electronics store to pick up a few Cd's for the truck. After this, I went home and dropped off all the stuff, then back in the truck to go visit some friends I don't see enough. Then, back home for a short nap, so I can get to the Charles Town Moose Lodge at a reasonable time. When I got there, I went to the slot machines in the back and won $250, not bad for an evening. We then all sat around, drank a few beers, and bull-shitted until closing time.

Sunday- I actually slept in for once. I got up at 1030, mowed the lawn, and did a few other things around the house. I finally grilled for the first time in forever, but I need to trash that recipe. The chicken was OK, but not great. Then it was time to take a nap.... So I thought... Right before I laid down, my buddy called and said he was stuck in Harpers Ferry with a dead started. So after I went and picked up his tools, I headed down to give him a hand. After a few hours, and a few other reinforcements (IE- a mechanic) the starter was done, and everyone was on their way home.

All-in-all, it was a good weekend, with a lot of good friends. I hope we have a lot more, but I also think I need a weekend to relax!

Tonight, I start physical therapy for my left knee. If I'm grumpy tomorrow, you will understand why!

Have a great week all! I hope your weekend was as good as mine!

Another Coming Weekend

Happy Friday All!!!

Well, I woke up this morning and saw all the news I missed while asleep. 1 bombing suspect has been killed with an IED strapped to his chest, and 1 still at large. I can't wait until we find out who is behind all of this.

That all being said, here is my tentative plans for the weekend:

Friday- work, then nothing planned. Its supposed to storm tonight, so I'll probably just sit at home on the porch and listen to the radio. Nice relaxing night. If anyone feels like stopping by, feel free.

Saturday- Up bright and early for the gym, then helping a buddy move. I may end up at a different Moose Lodge this night. A few of us Frederick Moose member are going to invade Charles Town. Maybe I'll just head to the casino and play with the horses. We'll see how this all plays out!

Sunday- Cleaning and yard work. Maybe plant some flowers. I don't really have a green thumb, but I'm going to try!

Well, That's all I have! I hope everyone has a great weekend, and I hope that these Assholes all get caught that were behind the bombings!

Pre-Friday

Happy Thursday All! Well if you all couldn't tell me life is a tornado of events. Most of which, I do to myself. I however, will never compromise my beliefs. I'm good like that. Really, I am a happy person, like I constantly say, things will come eventually, but I honestly don't sweat my nuts off about most of them. There's just no reason to. I have a great support channel of friends and family if I need them and they have and will always get me through any problem I need to vent about.

As far as my sleep pattern is going, I'm not really concerned about it anymore. I sleep, when I sleep. I used to get pissy if I wasn't asleep by 8pm. Now, I sit out on the side porch until 8 or 9, then go into bed. Life is too short to sleep anyway. I still get up and go to the gym at 3am. Sometimes, Yes, I miss it. So I go to the gym after work. I never thought I would say that I miss doing cardio though. When my knee gets better, I am going to run my ass off...

Well, its a short one today. Not too sure whats going on this weekend since camping was canceled. I'll figure something out, I always do. Lots of stuff in the works.

I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Change is needed

Happy hump day all! Its Wednesday and the days are getting nicer. Camping is coming up in just a few days! Woo Hoo! I'm excited!

Well, the last few days, I have made my mind up for quite a few things.

1) I left the Moose Lodge before elections. I am still a member, but there is only so much crap and BS a person can put up with. After 3 years of being on the board, it was time to move on. Its a good thing that I wasn't re-elected, because I really didn't want to be known as a quitter. I am still a member, but I turned in my key card quietly, so that I wouldn't be tempted to go back in for quite some time. Let someone have the card that will need it.

2) After my surgery is paid for, I am going to put a deck on the house. This means a lot more get together and Corn Hole outside. I'm thinking of starting to get quotes now, that way I am prepared when the time comes.

3) Life is great. Still a few things I would like, but that will all come eventually. Right now, time to sit back, enjoy a beer, and ride the wave of life!

Well that's all I have for today. I hope everyone has a great day!

Random Cowardness

Today, is yet another day that will live in our hearts and minds forever. We now have two days in a row that will remind us, to be humble, because we don't know when our last day will be on this earth. I am not a writer, though, I will attempt to put things into words.

An 8 year old sticks in my mind this morning. A child. Future ahead, not a care in the world other then video games and going to school every day. Its Patriots Day in Boston, Mass. Marathon starts at 9am, Red Sox play at 11am. This is a special day for all. Family takes their child to see the Boston Marathon, maybe a family member was running, maybe just there to see the sights. We all want to see it at some point, its a part of history. Maybe the child was excited to go.... Maybe, the child was just brought along and had no idea the magnitude of what was happening. 27,000 runners entered, first runners cross the finish line at 1330. The time is now 1450, two explosions rock the event. Rock the world. The child is one of three dead. The child is now a statistic of a cowards calling. 3 dead, and over 140 injured. All during a sporting event. Stop and think about that for a second. An entire future ended for what? What is this world coming to. This wasn't a military event, this was a family. People who some have saved or trained their entire life to make it to the event. This is just something you pay to get into, you qualify. Random Cowardness....

We are also reminded of yet another random act of gutlessness that happened 7 years ago today. Small town, big college. Blacksburg, Va. Students going to school, so that they have a future. 32 dead, 23 injured (one Gunman dead, bringing the total to 33). Another senseless act of violence. This is our future dying right before our eyes. I spent the day calling friends to make sure that they were all OK. That day, no matter military or college affiliate, we all bled maroon and orange...

My point is, when does it end? What makes people want to kill innocent people? Some people live in fear day to day because it was their family that was senselessly killed. When can we get an education or attend a sporting event and not have to worry about craziness? These are things we should feel safe at. Sit back, drink a beer, and not worry about anything for a few hours.

These people need to be stopped. We don't need knee jerk reactions, we just need actions. Find out who did this to us, to our families, to our friends, and take care of the situation. Whether it involves disarming a country, sending more troops, or even deporting known terrorists....

We need to do something...

Times Change

Happy Monday All! We all made it through yet another weekend, and I hope yours was as good as mine! Things are changing, and I can't wait to see what's in the future. Here's my weekend:

Friday- Work.... Then it was time for some play. I had a pretty young woman come over to my place, then we went to my buddies house to hang out and play some beer pong. As the night went on, I started getting better and better, and I slowly reached my old form playing beer pong. Best part was, she was even better than I was! From what I remember of the games, we did pretty good. I just hope I get a few more nights hanging out with her. She's great company, and there's just something about her that I really like. I guess we'll have to see what happens.

Saturday- Woke up and went to football practice. I couldn't do too much, but I stood around and helped run some offensive schemes. Practice went well, and I really hope that I am better for the game in June. Afterwards, I went home and napped. Then it was off to Wal-Mart to buy camping supplies for this upcoming weekend.

Sunday- Woke up bright and early to start the yard up. Got all of the mowing, trimming, and the bush cut down in only a couple hours. Then I waited for my buddy to get over to help cut out in front of the house. I went to Lowes and spent a little money, but the house is looking much better now because of it. The biggest change to the house was that we changed the color of the mulch from red to black. It's looking a lot better now. When we were done, I went inside, watched a little TV, then went to bed.

All in all, it was a very busy productive weekend. Now if I only can get the pretty woman over to plant some flowers! Lol! My green thumb sucks! I have no idea what else to put in the front of the house!

Well, that's all I have for now, I hope everyone has a great week!

Another Busy Weekend

Happy rainy Friday all!!! Here we are, the end to another work week, and I am feeling better than I have in a long time! Other than the few knee pains here and there, my body and mind seem to be at 100%. Its a great day to be alive, and I can't wait for this weekend (Next weekend's going to be better, but lets get through this one first.

With no further delay, here it is:

Friday- Work, then a trip to Wal-Mart is on the horizon. I need to pick up some general yard maintenance material (mulch and stuff like that). If the ground isn't too wet, then I will start cleaning up the yard. I think this year I am going to go in a whole new direction with the landscaping. I may need a little help due to my knee, but I will get done what I can. Maybe some fishing if the ground is to wet. I still haven't supplied up on catfish yet, there's no better time than now!

Saturday- Up bright and early for the gym, then I am going to go and watch football practice. I really hate not being able to play, but in time, I will heal. Hopefully, its before the game. After practice its more yard work, and then some fishing. I met an amazing woman a while back, and I am hoping that she will come and hang out. If not, I'll probably be fishing alone, which is OK with me, I could use a relaxing night on the river.

Sunday- Nothing planned yet. Hopefully, all of the yard work is done and I can just relax. If not, I'll finish up, and watch the race. 2 more weeks until Richmond with my cousins. That should be interesting, and a hell of a time!

Well, that's all I have for today, I hope everyone makes the best of their time this weekend!

Smells

Happy Thursday all! The week is just rolling by. Before you know it. the weekend will be upon us, and my butt will be at the river with a fishing pole in my hands.

Have you ever noticed that things smell different in the spring and summer?

Fresh cut grass smells a lot better than frigid snow.
Mud smells better than a rock hard ground of dirt.
The river has a smell about it that just screams freedom.

Yes I'm a little bit of a Country Boy, but could you blame me? I live inside the small city limits, but in a 10 minute drive I can be at the river with a fishing pole, catching some dinner.

This is what lifes all about. The sights, sounds, and feel of just living. No matter what your cup of tea is, whether city living, or being out in the country, enjoy it. I know I will with every breath!

Well, that's all I have for today. Have a great one!

"Summer Nights"by Rascal Flats
It's summer nights baby!

Come on ladies, it's time to
Pop that top
And fellas, I know you're
Ready to rock
We went crazy, cooped
Up all winter long
And school is out so let's
Get it on
Flip flop tan and some white sand
I know the perfect spot

Well the sun better set soon
So we can get in the mood
Things start gettin' all heated up
When it starts gettin' cool
Yeah

[Chorus]
Summer nights
Everybody are you with me
Let that igloo cooler
Mark your piece of paradise
Summer nights
Everybody's feeling sexy
Holler if you're ready
For some summer nights

Come on -- Oh, yeah, yeah

Now fellas, you better watch
Your step
Don't them teeny French bikinis
Make you lose your breath
Back to the ladies
Y'all keep doing y'alls thing
'Cause everything about you
Makes me wanna scream

The sun is getting low,
There it goes
Here we go, here comes the moon
Things start getting all heated up
When it starts getting cool -- yeah

[Chorus]
Summer nights
Everybody are you with me
Let that igloo cooler
Mark your piece of paradise
Summer nights
Everybody's feeling sexy
Holler if you're ready
For some summer nights

Oh, it's a party down in Padre
Big bonfire on the beach
It's Coronas in Daytona, y'all
Well, it's wild and it's free

[Chorus]
Summer nights
Everybody are you with me
Let that igloo cooler
Mark your piece of paradise
Summer nights
Everybody's feeling sexy
Holler if you're ready
For some summer nights

[Chorus]
Summer nights
Everybody are you with me
Let that igloo cooler
Mark your piece of paradise
Summer nights
Everybody's feeling sexy
Holler if you're ready
For some summer nights

Yeah, yeah are you ready
For some summer nights
Yea Baby
Summer nights
It's summer nights
Come on

The Verdict

Happy Hump Day All!!!

Today, I am exceptionally motivated. Its getting warmer outside, and I can do anything that I put my mind to.

Except anything that involves my lower body....

Yesterday, I was diagnosed with severe Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome, which is caused by my knee cap slipping away from the joint. The Dr said that at some point in my life I dislocated my knee cap, and it never went all the way back. He was proud of my high tolerance of pain though, because he said that nobody goes as long as I did without seeking medical aide. Lol, I chalk this up to being stubborn, and not liking doctors all that much.

The treatment will be as follows: 4 weeks of Physical Therapy, with a surgery consult on May 7th. There is a 5% chance that the PT will work. There is a 95% chance they will have to cut me open. The surgeries range anywhere from cutting open the knee, shaving behind it so that it sits straight, to putting screws in my knee. The first option I will be back on my feet the same day, but I'll be extremely sore. The screws option will keep me in bed for a few weeks. I'm hoping for the 5%. I've come to far for anything to derail my progress, but I have to get fixed. I'm tired of being in pain.

Well, That's all for now! I hope everyone has a great week!

Don't Read

Well, Its Tuesday. I hope everyone got through their Monday pretty well with as much ease as possible.

The reason I ask people not to read this one is because I feel a little vulnerable. Almost like a failure, without actually failing.

Today, I go to see the Orthopedic Specialist about my knees....

I have gotten opinions before, anywhere from a pulled muscle to two torn meniscus. I guess today we will finally find out.

I have worked so hard to this point to be in top physical shape, and I think it may have finally bit me in the ass. I feel broken and defeated. My body doesn't want to cooperate with what I want to accomplish.

I should be in control of my body, not the other way around. My earlier days in the Army, everyone always told me how bad it was to be on profile. Now, my higher ups tell me its OK, I can get through this. Its OK to get hurt and take care of myself. I don't feel like it. I want to be superman, and my legs won't let me. I don't feel sorry for myself, but I want to get better.

I want to get up in the morning and be able to move. I want to be able to run without being hindered by whats going to pop, crack, or pull. There are goals I have that may have to end because a part of my body wants to be lame. I will never score a 300 on a PT test if its as bad as I fear. I will never be able to take certain classes.

But on the flip side, I need to feel better. Its been far to long being in pain to keep this up.

I hope everyone has a great day. Stay tuned for tomorrow, where I will let everyone know how things go.

Monday 4/8/13

Happy Monday All! Another great day to be alive! The best part about reserve weekends is I finally get to sleep, and I enter the next week revitalized. Here's my weekend:

Friday- Work, then went and got new brakes and tires put on the vehicle. Went home ate dinner, and watched some more or the Walking Dead Season 2.

Saturday- Up bright and early for Drill. Put a truck back together so it could leave the unit. Then at 0900, I drove down to Potomac Maryland to get a pano x-ray of my teeth. Drove back, had lunch, then me and another soldier fixed a trailer that didn't really need to be fixed. The tail light was out, and we found out that it was the Hummers taillight relay that was broken. Took the Hummer out for drivers training, then when we got back, it was time for physical training. We played football. Afterwards, I went home and passed out on the couch.

Sunday- Up bright and early for day 2 of drill. Gave a soldier a PT test first thing in the morning. Then I completed some on-line education, and went outside where we were training the soldiers on their jobs. I just wish that some of these guys would realize that this is why they signed up. Not the college money, Not the bonuses. The Army is more about heart then its about money. It should be more then just an extra paycheck. I would rather them learn the job now, then when we go Overseas where we are working with live ammo. There is less of a chance of someone getting hurt or killed state-side, then when we go over. After training, we played football again for PT. Went home after, did laundry, and relaxed.

Well, That was my fantastic weekend in green! I hope everyone has a great week!

Green Days

Happy Friday All!

Today, like always I choose to start off the day in a great mood. Lets see how it ends. The last few days have been iffy. No sleep will do that to a person. Oh well, its life, this weekend will be spent in green, here's the outlook.

Friday- I was supposed to hang out with someone tonight, but I'm not sure if that will materialize. If not, I may just go get some tires for the vehicle. Maybe, hang out at home and watch some more of the Walking Dead.

Saturday- Army drill bright and early. Then a dentist appointment an hour and a half away in Potomac Md. Then drive back for more reserve duty. Its going to be a long exhausting day, so I'm not quite sure if I will be up for anything at night, but we will see.

Sunday- Army Drill.

Well, That's about it. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Mine will be busy but good.

I can relate to this song:

Better I Don't
by Chris Janson

My good buddy asked me... "Buddy why don't you drink?"
And I said, "It's probably better I don't"
He said, "There's a lotta girls in this here bar that we could chase"
I said, "Trust me"
It's probably better I don't
Cause I used to be an all nighter
I'm a hell of a back slider
I've been around the block more than a time or two
And I can promise you
I've drank my weight in booze
And I've been known to get on stage in nothing but my boots
So it's better I don't, Cause believe me I will
I get looser than a line on a fishing reel
Dare me don't do, don't think I won't,
take it all off, turn it all on
Get buck wild, hell bent, and stoned It's better I don't

Well I was wearing the cuffs, when the warden said, "Just tell me the truth"
And I said, "Sir, it's probably better I don't"
And I was up on the stand, and the judge said, "Just tell me what happened man"
And I said, "Buddy it's probably better I don't, but since you asked"
I was mindin' my own business at a hundred and five
I was a county road cruisin'
out running the blue lights
I was on the home stretch,
I was roundin' that last curve,
Well I ran out of gas and that's when I learn
It's better I don't, cause believe me I will
I get looser than a line on a fishing reel
Dare me don't do, don't think I won't, take it all off, turn it all on
Get buck wild, hell bent, and stoned.
It's better I don't
Now there's things I don't remember,
There's things that I do
But I don't know the half of what I got into
And it's better I don't, cause believe me I will
I get looser than a line on your fishing reel
Dare me don't do, don't think I won't take it all off, turn it all on
Get buck wild, hell bent, and stoned.
Drunk dial somebody on the phone
Drink too many beers and drive a Harley home
It's better I don't,
yeah it's better I don't
yeah it's better I don't

The Real Deal

Happy Thursday All! Can you smell that (no I didn't fart)? Its the long awaited weekend coming up!!!!

Well, I got my ass out of bed this morning and went to the gym. I feel great (other than the aches and pains of getting old). Lets keep this up. Life is great and I have realized that. I am blessed to be able to do all of the things that I do. Fishing and camping are on the horizon, and who care how cold it still is.

When push comes to shove, just know that I am the real deal. I tell you how I feel. I have no filter 95% of the time (I'm not completely shallow). I know how to treat people, and I don't hold back. Isn't this the kind of guy that everyone needs in their life? Maybe if more people acted like me, there would be more happiness in the world, and much, much less drama. I hate drama. If some ones not into you, cool, life is about making friends, keeping the real ones, and finding someone special to spend a long, long time with.

Oh well, that all being said, anyone have anything special planned for this weekend? It is spring you know. Yes, I have to keep reminding myself that because the temperature still hasn't risen above freezing in the mornings. It makes it really hard to get up and run in 20 degree frigidness.

Anyway! I hope everyone has a great day. I know I will.

Chicks Dig It
by Chris Cagle

Hey y'all watch this!

Daddy's belt, mamas drapes
Standin' tall on the backyard shed
Lookin' cool in my superman cape
I told the neighborhood girls
Said hey y'all, watch this
My fate was a broken arm
And my reward a one day kiss
When daddy asked me why I did it
I made him laugh out loud when I told him
Cause the chicks dig it

Scars heal... glory fades
And all we're left with are the memories made, oh yeah
Pain hurts, but only for a minute
Yeah life is short so go on and live it
Cause the chicks dig it

Oh yeah
Mmmm

Black top road, learner permit
Thought I was Earnhardt
Drivin' fast, but I didn't see the ditch
Took out a mailbox, then a fence, then a barn
The police came and called my father
But I met the farmer's daughter
And when the judge asked me why I did it
He threw the book at me when I told him
Cause the chicks dig it

Scars heal... glory fades
And all we're left with are the memories made, oh yeah
Pain hurts, but only for a minute
Life is short so go on and live it
Cause the chicks dig it

Oh yeah
Ohh, oh

Just throw caution to the wind my friend
And then sit back and watch your life begin, cause

Scars heal... glory fades
And all we're left with are the memories made
Yeah pain hurts, but only for a minute
Yeah, life's short so go on and live it
Cause the chicks dig it

Scars heal... glory fades
And all we're left with are the memories made
Pain hurts, but only for a minute
Yeah life is short so go on and live it
It don't matter if you lose or if you win it
Hey the chicks dig it
Oh yeah
Chicks dig it
Mmm
The chicks dig it
Ah, hey, aw yeah
The chicks dig it

I got this scar when I was three years old showing off for the girl next door
On my tricycle
And the on over my eye, well I got that back in '82 jumpin' off the train
Trestle bridge
But I got the girl, hah, oh
The chicks dig it!

Hump Day

Happy Hump Day All!!!

Well, another Wednesday is here, and we are all going to get through it just fine. I have a pretty bad writers block today, so lets see what we have....

Current events- Will North Korea ever learn? They keep on pushing buttons, and in my mind, they may need to be taught a lesson. Yesterday, they started back up their nuclear arms sites, which were told to be suspended years ago. This could get messy everyone, lets see how far this escalates.

Sports- My New York Jets haven't made a move yet to get better. Who knows how next season will play out, but as of right now, we are looking like the old 1-15 Jets from years ago. As far as baseball goes, The Mets won the first game... Can this be a time of change for us? We'll see, 161 games left to play.

Life- I want to go camping. Lots of camping. Its time to break out the tent and spend a weekend by the river. Food, beer and fishing... What more in life do you really need?

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope you all have a great day!

Everything
by Buckcherry

 Buried way beneath the sheets
I think she's havin' a meltdown
Finding it hard to fall asleep
She won't let anyone help her

The look on her face
A waste of time
She won't let go
Gonna roll the dice
Losin' her grace
Starts to cry
I feel her pain
When I look in her--

I wanna be
I want everything
I want everything

Somewhere she is on the streets
Trying to make things better
Praying to God and breathin' deep
Gotta break this long obsession

The look on her face
A waste of time
She won't let go
Gonna roll the dice
Losin' her grace
Starts to cry
I feel her pain
When I look in her--

I wanna be
I want everything
I want everything

I wanna be
I want everything
I want everything

[Guitar solo]

If I had everything would I
Still want to be alive
Or want to be high

If I had everything would I
Still want to be alive
Or want to be high

Now and then she talks to me
And sometimes writes me letters

The look on her face
A waste of time
She won't let go
Gonna roll the dice
Losin' her grace
Starts to cry
I feel her pain
When I look in her--

I wanna be
I want everything
I want everything

You know, I, I wanna be
Yeah I want everything
I wanted everything
Everything

Your eyes
Never close your eyes
And open up your mind

And baby, you could have everything
Everything

Your eyes
Never close your eyes
And open up your mind

And baby, you could have everything

Anywhere but Home

Happy Tuesday! Another day closer to a day off... Unless of course you are off today, then good for you! Most of us aren't! Enjoy it, as you should enjoy every day.

Looks like this guy is going to the Richmond race at the end of the month. Its going to be an awesome time with friends and family. I hope we don't get to crazy.... Ah, shit, I know we will, its what we are good at!

Today would have been day two on orders. I really could have used the break from driving for a few weeks. Oh well, This is the life of a soldier. You have to change and adapt.

Tonight, I think I will go home and continue watching The Walking Dead. Time to start season 2.

Well, that's all that I really have, I hope everyone has a great day!

My Kinda Party
by Brantley Gilbert

[Verse 1]
Yeah, I worked all week.
Cleaned up, clean cut, and clean shaved.
Get the cover off the ’68.
Fire it up, and let them horses sing.
A little pretty thing.
A little tan-legged Georgia dream.
She’s a rockin’ them holey jeans.
Baby, what you got goin’ on Saturday?
You know, words got it, there’s gonna be a party,
Out of town about half a mile.
Four wheel drives and big mud tires.
Muscadine wine

[Chorus]
Oh baby, you can find me.
In the back of a Ford truck tailgate.
Sittin’ ‘round watchin’ all these pretty things.
Gettin’ down in that Georgia clay.
And I’ll find peace.
In the bottom of a real tall cold drink.
*Chillin* to some Skynyrd or some old Hank.
Lets get this thing started.
It’s my kind of party.

[Verse 2]
Girl, well if you’re gonna drink.
Go on baby, just do your thing.
Give up your keys.
Hell why drive when you can stay with me?
And then after while we’ll sneak away from the bonfire.
Walk by the moonlight and down at the riverside.
Gotcha sippin’ on the moonshine.
Baby, if you’re in mood you can settle for a one night rodeo.
If you can be my tan-legged Juliet,
I’ll be your Redneck Romeo.

[Repeat Chorus two times]

Where ya’ll goin’?
We still got a keg breathin’

April Fool

Well here it is! Monday and April Fools day all at once. The biggest joke they can give you is welcome to Monday, Your weekend is over, and you have 5 days before the next one (Unless you have Army drill, then you have 12 days until the next one).

This weekend wasn't too bad. I did a lot of things I normally don't do. So here it is.

Friday- Left work early to attend to some business. Went home and took a nap, then went over to an Army buddies house to play poker. We ended up playing only one free game of poker, then watching the NCAA tournament and playing corn hole all night. Pretty good relaxing night.

Saturday- Woke up bright and early so I drove to Frederick to see an old friend. Then I had football practice from 1030-1200. I got there early to run some laps, and to my surprise, there were already people there! After this, I had an inner struggle on whether to go to the funeral, or deal with things my own way. Well, I ended up not going. I drove down to Virginia, picked up a friend, and drove down to the NRA. There's nothing more therapeutic for me than throwing a couple hundred rounds down range. Yes, the rifle is now sited in. Another good evening.

Sunday- Woke up early again. Went and washed all of the salt of the vehicle, then headed to Walmart. After spending a bunch of money there, I drove home, cleaned, rearranged some furniture, then decided to relax. I also started watching The Walking Dead. I probably should have started watching that show a long time ago. Season 1 down, 2 more to go. One thing that pisses me off though is that everyone is always posting the endings on Facebook. I mean if people are watching it, then they already know what is going on, and if they aren't, they are either DVR'ing it, or don't care. What are you really accomplishing by posting that? I just don't get it sometimes...

Well, that was it. I hope everyone has a great week!!!!
