Mind

Happy Friday All! I hope you have a great one, and a very adventurous weekend ahead.

As I sit here, on the day before a major event in my life (PT test), I can't help but have a million things on my mind. I should be clear, but somethings never leave. Am I doing the right thing? Will everything fall into place? Am i going in the right direction? I just don't know.... but the journey should be an interesting one.

In a little over 24 hours, I will be busting my ass to pass an Army Physical Fitness Test. As I have stated before, I need 36 push-ups, 42 sit-ups, and a 2-mile run in under 17:42. I think I have this, but what if I don't?

I am a firm believer in fate, but at the same time, how much do we control. Life and Love, Physical and Mental, What is up too me, and what is up to chance? Do I make a different move, or was that move what was supposed to happen the whole time. I see a sleepless night in my future, which at this moment, I really can't afford....

Well, That's all I have today, sorry about my dark moments on a Friday. I hope everyone has a great weekend...

Getting closer

Woo Hoo! I take it everyone reading this has made through Wednesday? Hang in there sunshine, its going to get better in just a couple more days. Today was my last work out before the PT test on Saturday. I need this, therefore I got this. I don't care how much pain I cause myself during the test, when its over, its over, and nothing gets left inside.

Got good news, as far as me becoming an uncle (for the first time), Its going to be a boy! I was hoping for a puppy, but I'll take what I can get! Congrats again to my brother and sister-in-law! Enjoy sleeping in now, those days will be over in a few short months!

Well, that's all I have for today, I hope everyone has a great one!

Wanted lyrics
By Hunter Hayes

You know I'd fall apart without you
I don't know how you do what you do
'Cause everything that don't make sense about me
It makes sense when I'm with you
Like everything that's green, girl I need you
But it's more than one and one makes two
So put aside the math and the logic of it
You gotta know you're wanted too
I wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
Yeah I, wanna make you feel wanted
Anyone can tell you you're pretty
And you get that all the time, I know you do
But your beauty's deeper than the makeup
And I wanna show you what I see tonight
When I wrap you up
When I kiss your lips

I wanna make you feel wanted
I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
'Cause Baby I, wanna make you feel wanted
As good as you make me feel
I wanna make you feel better
Better than your fairy tales
Better than your best dreams
You're more than everything I need
You're all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
And I just wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
and I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And Never let you forget it
Yeah I, wanna make you feel wanted
Baby I, wanna make you feel wanted
'Cause you'll always be wanted

The Game Show

Happy Hump Day All!!!! Getting closer and closer to Drill Weekend and a PT test. I got this. Tonight will be my last workout until the test, this way I can give my body ample time to prepare and rest.

Last weekend, I was traveling with a friend down to Ft. Meade, when we came up with a great idea for a reality game show. Disclaimer: I'm not trying to be sexist (It comes naturally... Kidding), this is only a joke....

Redneck Bachelor Survivor Hells Island (Yea, this will get me sued.... Lol).

What happens is, we strand 20 women on an island and they compete in various tasks for the love of the Redneck Bachelor (me in this case). They will be supplied tents, guns, ammo, fishing materials, etc. They are allowed to quit if they find that the task isn't worth it...

Obviously, there will be obstacles, fighting is encouraged, and the less you wear, the more points you get. There won't be voting, I will choose at the end of the week who was the weakest link, and they will be allowed to go home to the luxuries of home.

Some of the stunts will be: 3 mile obstacle courses, you have to cook for the redneck every night (there will be an ample amount of animals running the island, so keep things interesting ladies), mud wrestling, stripper pole competitions, Mixed Martial Arts Competition and other fun stuff the bachelor deems necessary. Points will be awarded based on overall talent, how you handle yourself around the others, how much fun you have while attempting everything and just being an overall good sport.

There is an opportunity to earn bonus points. Since the Redneck will be living on the island also (In a house, with luxury items), at anytime you can just "stop by". No spending the night though, because that's not fair to the other ladies. I will also take bribes, however, since there will be nothing to buy on the island, I really doubt you'll have any cash....

Now, Where do I find 20 women wanting to compete for me? LMFAO....

(Originally this was supposed to be a death match, but no one should have to die for anyone, even though 20 pissed off women with guns may get a little explosive at certain times of the month).

Have a Great day all!

Interesting Title Here

Well Happy Tuesday All!!!!

Its another beautiful day here in Maryland! Just kidding, its snowing and raining, but the sun is shining somewhere right? I smile every time I say that because it means so much to me. It gets me through every day.

I'm blasting Hank Williams III right now, gotta get it out of my system before everyone gets to work. They tend to frown on all the cursing... Oh well, it is what it is.

Speaking of music, I'm going to see Hinder and Nonpoint on December 14th! Its going to be at Rams Head, I love small venues.

Anyway..... Here we go, sorry for the lack of an interesting title, I'm slowly running out of ideas!

Everyone have a great day! Tomorrow is hump day, and one day closer to my PT test on Saturday morning!

What Should Have Been Said...

“Too often they don't realize what they have until it's gone.
...they're too stubborn to say, 'Sorry, I was wrong'
they hurt the ones closest to their hearts,
and we let the most foolish things tear us apart”
― Marilyn Monroe

Well Monday is here, and we will get into my weekend some other time. This weekend I screwed up. My words (Which we all know I flow rather loosely), have hurt someone I care about very much. The blog I wrote last Friday morning, I was upset (and still a little drunk).

I ruined four years worth of trust, because of a misunderstanding. I should never blog, text, or Facebook when I am mad. I have learned however, that not everything needs to be written about, but everything does need to be talked about. Somethings just need not be said in writing. I can't take anything back, because its all in print. However, I hope to someday get forgiveness, but if its not given, I will understand. This person knows me probably better than I know myself. All of our feelings, plans, etc, ruined because I had a lapse of reason. Every time I see how much I have hurt her, I feel worse, and I should. I miss the text messages, the talks, and I'm sure I'll miss the e-mails. If I am ever forgive, we have a lot to talk about, and I know we can move forward, but this blog will never see that. I just have to realize the responsibility I take onto myself by writing about everyday life. Everything needs to be said, just not here.

Well that all being said, Tomorrow will be a brighter day, but today I will keep thinking about what I have done, and what I have been thinking all weekend.

I hope everyone has a great week! PT test in 5 days. Here we go....

Day of Thanks

Good Morning All! Happy Thanksgiving a day early. I probably won't post tomorrow, because I will be cooking all day, but here is my Thanksgiving Post.....

I never got into the 30 days of thanks thing, because I am thankful every day. However, here is a list of everything I am thankful for:

-First of all, I am thankful for my family. I have two loving parents who have stuck with me through thick and thin. They are the greatest. I am thankful for my little brother who has grown up a lot in the last few years, and I wish him and his family nothing but the best. I have great aunts, uncles, and cousins, who also have all always been there in some way or form. Thanks you all.

- I am thankful for all of my friends. Whether it was yesterday that we have seen each other, or we have never met, you all have affected my life in some way. Some of you keep me in line, others push me to the edge of my limits. Thank you.

- I am thankful for all of the woman I have loved and lost. Whether it was one night, one week, or years, I have learned from you all. Without you, I wouldn't have learned what not to do with the next. One night stands, relationships that have lasted for years, "secret weekends", or friends with benefits, you all have a special place in my heart. Thank you.

- I am thankful for everyone that has tried to hold me back, or said that I couldn't do something. Without you, I wouldn't have the motivation to prove you wrong. My life has been all about proving people wrong, and you just fuel my fire. I have acomplished a lot in this short time I've been on earth, and it won't ever stop. Thank you.

- I am thankful for all of the material possesions I have. My house, my car, the clothes on my back, and everything that I have ever wanted. These things, even though not a neccesity, make life a little easier.

- I am thankful to have a job. Without it, I wouldn't be able to do all of the things that I do, and struggle would be a major word in my vocabulary. I keep food in my belly, the house warm, and gas in my car. What more could a guy ask for.

- I am thankful for a country that I love. For one that is so diverse, yet keeps on kicking. One that provides me with the freedoms, not only to survive, but to actually live. Thank you USA.

- I am thankful for the Army. Thank you for taking me back after all of these years away. The Army has shaped me into the person I am today. There have been good days and bad days, but all in all, it has been a fantastic 14 years. heres to another 30 years in, because I'm not leaving until forced. Thank you.

- Last, but certainly not least, I am thankful for all the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines, and Coasties. You are a neccesity to this country, and no one coould thank you enough for all of your struggles. No matter what, you have always been there to protect freedom. I am proud to call each and every one of you a brother or sister. We will always have playful ribbing between services, but at the end of the day, we all know that we need each other. Come home soon, those of you that aren't. I'll leave the light on for you, and theres always a beer in the fridge.

Well, thats all I have for today. Just remember that while you are spending the day with family, there is so much more in life then what is there. Theres a whole world, take a look, breath it in, and remember it all year around....

Happy Thanksgiving, and God Bless....

Milestone

Well Happy Tuesday Everyone! Today, I am humbled. Overnight, the blog hit 10,000 views, and for that, I thank you. What started out as something to just clear my mind, has turned out to be something a lot more. Its a place to vent, for everyone to share stories and comments, and to witness personal success and hardships. Here's to another 10,000 views!

OK, with that out of the way. Whew, only two more days until Thanksgiving. Who's cooking? I know I will be up bright and early to start. Somewhere in my schedule I will have to fit in a run on Thursday, an Upper body and Abs workout on Friday, and another run on Saturday. This should all be very interesting. I will try to throw a blog in on those days too, because I know that all of my readers in other countries will still be doing their thing.

Well, that's all that I have for now! Have a great day!!!!

This is it!

Well the week has come. For so many of us, it will be a three day work week. For others, you are stuck working extra. Its a week to be thankful, and where you will kill each other the day after being thankful for that new laptop, video game, or discounted camera. Here's a hint people, shop on Amazon, they are probably still cheaper than your Black Friday sales!

Heres my weekend in a crunch. Nothing exciting, just getting ready for my family to come up next weekend, with a little bit of other stuff sprinkled in!

Friday- Middletown Football is still undefeated. Kicked ass in yet another playoff game. We play on Friday night again this week. Winner goes to states. LETS GO KNIGHTS! After the game, a few of us went to Hollow Creek. Good times, but the night there ended entirely too early. Afterwards I went to the Moose Lodge for a little while. Good times....

Saturday- Up bright and early to give myself a mock PT test. I needed 60 points in each event to pass (36 Push-Ups, 42 Sit-Ups, and a 17:42 2-mile Run). My scores were as follows: 51 Push-Ups (76 Points), 50 Sit-Ups (69 Points), 16:41 Run (69 Points). YAY, I passed. However, I'm still not satisfied. Passing is great, and I have come a long way since last January, but I want to max out this thing. The Max numbers are: 75 Push-Ups, 76 Sit-Ups, and a 13:18 Run. New goals to achieve, but I will get there eventually. After the run, I changed the oil in the car (Thanks for the help!). Then I went to bring my help home. On the way, we stopped at Hostess. Dear God, I have never seen so many people in that place. We didn't stay long. Then dropped off my help, and went back home to start cleaning. I also spent a little time in Walmart this day (3 trips).

Sunday- More cleaning, put stuff in the attic so I have a place for my parents to set up the air mattress (Thanks for the help #2). I love my friends, they are always there for when I need them! Then I did some homework and called it a day.

Great weekend! I hope everyone was a productive as I was! I hope everyone has a great week!

Yet Again

Happy Friday All!!!!!

Its that time of week again, and here are my tentative plans for the weekend.

Friday- Middletown High School for the playoff game. We play our arch rival Walkersville, and we beat them once this year, but its the playoffs and everything changes during this time of year. After the game I will probably end up at Hollow Creek Sports Bar. Good Times, Good Friends....

Saturday- I am giving myself a mock PT test first thing in the morning. Then Its off to Walmart to purchase some material to maintenance my car. After the car is done, its cleaning and homework time. LSU plays Ole Miss, so hopefully it will be on TV. I have to go grocery shopping at some point, but I'm still not positive of the menu for Thanksgiving yet.

Sunday- Cleaning for the arrival of my family at the end of the week. The house doesn't look horrible, but there are a few things that have to get done. The rest of the day will probably consist of more homework and relaxing.

If anyone feels like coming over and helping with anything feel free. I have beer..... until the beer is gone! LOL

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully, I'll see some of you!

Pay Day!

Its a Happy, Happy Thursday!!!! Its Pay Day! Woo Hoo! Now I can pay my bills and have absolutely nothing left!

Well my conflict with running has been semi solved. Starting tomorrow, I will be running on a new track. Thank You North Hagerstown High School, I hope you don't kick me off like the college did.

I have lots of classes to do this weekend, so other than that, and cleaning for the arrival of my family, theres not really much going on! I need an easy weekend!

Beer On The Table lyrics

Josh Thompson

Every morning I get up before that rooster crows
Heading straight to somewhere I don’t even want to go
Eggs and bacon in my belly and a Folger’s coffee buzz
Good ol’ radar detector it protects me from the fuzz
Well, I do what I gotta do to get through working that 9 to 5
It’s killing me but then again it’s keeping me alive

It puts the gas in my truck, butter on my biscuit,
couple bucks when I’m itching for a scratch-off ticket
That poker makes me broker every Saturday night
But I still got running water and they ain’t cut off the lights
Come Friday night, My friends and I start peeling off them labels
Working hard all week puts beer on the table

Eighteen bucks an hour and a million dollar tan
All them women whistle at me while I’m working for the man
Making me some cold hard cash out in that summer sun
Come Friday I’ll have money but by Monday I’ll have none
Once the bills are paid and that bass boat tank has gone from E to F
I fill that big ol’ cooler up there ain’t a whole lot left

But I got gas in my truck, butter on my biscuit,
couple bucks when I’m itching for a scratch-off ticket
That poker makes me broker every Saturday night
But I still got running water and they ain’t cut off the lights
Come Friday night, my friends and I start peeling off them labels
Working hard all week puts the beer on the table

Oh, oh, I’m a simple man, yes I am
All I need is a few good friends and a good job,
And a good dog, maybe a woman that understands

And a little gas in my truck, some butter on my biscuit,
A couple bucks when I’m itching for a scratch-off ticket
That poker makes me broker every Saturday night
But I still got running water and they ain’t cut off the lights
Come Friday night, my friends and I start peeling off them labels
Working hard all week, yeah, puts the beer on the table
Ho! Ha! Puts the beer on the table

Would y'all pass me another one of them cold cans?

Am I Really Doing Harm?

Well Wednesday is here. This time next week, we will all be planning how we are going to do Thanksgiving, and when we should put up the Christmas lights....

Happy Hump Day All!

As most of you know, I get up very early in the morning. I do this so I can either go to the gym to work on my push-ups and sit-ups, or I go to the track and run. Today was run day. For those that didn't know, the track at Hagerstown Community College, is a public track.... Well not during the hours between 11pm and 6am...

Maybe I am stupid for running at 4am. I do this, because it just really feels good to get my my day started with a little sweat. Well, not any more. Today, I was told not to come back. The only people who are permitted to run on the track during off hours are the people who work there. You would think I was some type of criminal or something. What harm am I doing if I run at 4am? I'm not taking up any ones time but my own. I don't ask for light on the track. I don't ask for someone to come open the gate since it is always open. There was no problem the last six plus months that I was sweating my ass off on the track during the summer....

What is wrong with people? This is why our nation has become littered with fat bodies. When someone wants to do something about their health, they get stopped! All I am trying to do is better myself, with service to my country. This involves running, and ideal physical fitness. I guess I'm better off getting hit by a car, because I have to start running in the street again.

Well, I guess that's all for now. I have a couple of e-mails to write to the school, and if necessary, to my Governor....

Priorities

Happy Tuesday All! What a difference a day makes. Last night I passed out early, but in between my bouts of sleep, I did a lot of thinking... I have come to realize...

My priorities have become completely screwed up.....

I have done all of this work, and I have noticed that I am slipping into old habits. Some of these habits include thinking about everything else before I think of myself. There are certain thing that need to come before anything. It sucks that I think this way, but you only live once and things have to become OK in my world. Forget all of the crap. Everything is as follows: ME, Family, Army (PT and Classes), Current Job, Friends....

Sorry Friends, you know I would do anything to help you out, but I have been putting everything before myself and my career for too long. Does this mean will be any less of a great friend to you? Nope, Honestly you probably won't even know the difference. It just means that I am focusing on what I need to get done, and not what the future holds. If I don't go out one night, I'm not mad at you, I'm working on classes, or sleeping. If I don't pick up the phone, I'm either sleeping, or at work getting things done. I feel bad that I have to focus like this, but its how I work. If I don't focus, I don't succeed.

And I'm not about to fail at anything anymore..... Life, love, school, etc.... Everything I do, I will succeed...

Winning.... (Sorry, Had to throw that in there Lol).

I hope you all have a great day! Keep reading, we are getting close to 10,000 views!

Veterans Day

“I am a Veteran, as are most of my personal friends. A Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, their life. Regardless of personal or political views, there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact...”
José N. Harris, MI VIDA

Happy Monday All! Even though the real Veterans day was yesterday, today, we observe it with a day off... Well most people do. I am at work, because I had the choice of either taking today off, or the Friday after Thanksgiving. Since my family will be up here for Thanksgiving, I chose then.

One thing that burns me up inside is the fact that people should be thanking Veterans every day. If you couldn't tell, I'm a little bit patriotic. I would do anything for this great country of mine. My job isn't for everyone, but those of us that do it have a certain sense of pride. I read somewhere that a little under 10% of Americans are Veterans. This means that we put our lives on the line for over 90% of the people.

I appreciate all of the businesses that give discounts and free meals on this national day of observance. Why isn't this happening EVERY DAY! I know Lowes and Home Depot do it, but how about everyone else? To some a 10% discount is nothing, to us, it means a lot more than just a few extra dollars in my pocket. It means you appreciate me, my brothers and sisters, and everything we have stood up and defended for so long.

So as you hang around the house today, think of a veteran, whether you know them or not. Shake ones hand, buy their meal when you go out to dinner. Sometimes we feel as if we do all of this for nothing, but some of us know why.

Well that's all I have...

I want to thank all of my friends, family, brothers and sisters who have served before and with me. We keep fighting, so others don't have to. We protect the weak, and honor our fallen.

11/9/12

Well here we go! Yet, another Friday! I hope everyone has some exciting things planned, I know I sure do! Here we go.

Friday- Whenever I get off work, I will be going to the Middletown High School playoff football game! Its time again to make that states run! Afterwards I'll be going to Hollow Creek. Its a small bar in Middletown. It will be good to see all of my Middletown people yet again, we always have a blast when we all get together. Maybe we'll end up playing strip poker again, who knows!

Saturday- Going to run, then going down to Luray Caverns with a friend, I have never been there before, so I figured it would be a good opportunity to take a few pictures. Then time to go home and watch the LSU game. Lets Geaux Tigers!!!!

Sunday- Full clean the house day. If anyone wants to come over and help feel free. I also want to go to Home Depot and buy a ladder, sooooooo, if anyone has a truck and wants to help out, let me know. I can't really fit a ladder in the Mustang. Thanks in advance!

Well that's it, Maybe I'll see some of you this weekend! If not, Have a great one!

A New Day

Happy Thursday All!!!

Everyday that I wake up is a new beginning. I go about, doing everything I have to do to make life a great time. I have bettered myself the last ten months or so, and I feel great for it.

However, the last couple of months I have been slipping in my actions. I have taken my focus off of the goal. Because of this, I will be pushing harder on myself to accomplish EVERYTHING that I set out to get done. Its still all about me, and I like it like that. I won't bend. I won't sacrifice my beliefs. I will be the best person, soldier, etc, that I can be, every day of my life.

If I can inspire just one person, it makes everything worth it in the end.

Imagine
by John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world

You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

Hump Day Part Something

Happy Hump Day All! I hope everyone went out and voted yesterday! However that will be the last thing I say about the Election. Why you may ask.... Here it is:

“Any commissioned officer who uses contemptuous words against the President, the Vice President, Congress, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of a military department, the Secretary of Transportation, or the Governor or legislature of any State, Territory, Commonwealth, or possession in which he is on duty or present shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.” UCMJ article 88

I'm not going to face a fine or imprisonment for speaking my mind. I'm not going to say who I voted for.

Go ahead and comment your views here. I'm not going to be mad, as a matter of fact, I ask for them. That's what makes this country great. The fact that you can go out and choose who will be your leader. Some countries don't have that. I live in the land of the free, and it will always be that, no matter who I vote for. Since I strive to be a Warrant Officer in this great countries Army, I fall under all UCMJ action.

So Anyway.....

I hope everyone has a great day! I will be on travel for work today, so I will check all comments later!

Rock the Vote

Well All, Happy Tuesday! Its a special Tuesday, because its Election Day! Go out and choose who you would like to be my boss for the next four years.

Since by rule, I am not allowed to talk about our current President, I will not be putting any more political banter on this blog (for today at least). All I am going to say is, If you are not going to vote, you have no reason to complain about whoever wins, or about how the country is run. I will be voting, therefore, I will bitch and complain as much as possible if my candidate does not win.

Well, on to bigger and better things...

I have been chosen this year to have Thanksgiving at my house for my family.... I LOVE to cook, but I'm not sure what I want to cook yet. Of course there will be the usually turkey, but how do I want to cook it? Do I want to smoke it, or use my lemon herb recipe.... Hmmmmm, the decisions are endless. How difficult do I want to make this on myself? There will be potatoes, but once again, there are a million ways to do mashed potatoes. Oh well, I'll figure it all out, I have a month. All I know, it will be great, and I will probably start cooking Wednesday night.

Well that being said, DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!!!

We'll have a revisit to the winner of the election tomorrow...

Whats in a name...

Happy Monday All!!!! I hope you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep this weekend! It just happened to be that I was playing army, and you wouldn't believe how much that hour means when you are worn out from a day at the range...

Here's how the weekend went:

Friday- Got to the reserve center and I was assigned my vehicle for the weekend. Check out all of the vitals on it to make sure it wasn't going to die on me half way up through the mountains. I was then issued my weapon and it was time to be on our way. Three and a half hours later we arrived at our destination (Through crazy wind, rain, and snow).

Saturday- Qualification day. Woke up at 0500, ate breakfast, then it was time to march up to the range. It was a nice little march (About 2 miles or so). I was on the first firing line, so my time would come very quickly. Get out there and zero my weapon very quickly (Zeroing is sighting your weapon in to your eye). Then it was time to qualify....

I shot a 27.....

Passing is a 23....

Never in my life have I shot below a 30 (usually I'm up around 35-40). Then I realized, I never named my weapon. My entire Army career I have always named my weapons... They are, in order that they have been named:

- Ginger (Gilligans Island)
- Daphne (Scooby Doo)
- Bertha (She was a big 50 Cal)
- Kelly (Saved by the bell)

Sooooooooo, being the superstitious nut job that I am, after dinner, I was cleaning her and trying to decide a good name. Well after a lot of thought, I ended up with Alice.... Alice is the main character from the Resident Evil movies. She is one Hot, Bad Ass Woman....

After the naming was done, it was time for bed. Thank God for that extra hour.

Sunday- Woke up at 0500 yet again. Cleaned up, packed up, and it was now time for the 3.5 hour drive home. Only it didn't take that long. It took us 2.5 hours.... So, I apologize to everyone who got a fly by from 3 Military Vehicles on 68 and 70 yesterday, we were tired and we had stuff to do when we got back to the drill hall....

When we got back, we cleaned, serviced all of the vehicles in the motor pool, and I took a couple of new soldiers out for drivers training.

Now, i have a bone to pick for the people that call us "only Reservists"...

Yes its true we only get paid for one weekend a month, two weeks a year, but we bust our asses during that time, so that we can be as trained equally as our active duty counterparts. Keep in mind I said get paid for. Even though I only put on camouflage once a month, I still bleed green, brown, and tan. Every day I am doing school work, going to the gym, and contacting soldiers in some way, shape, or form. We deploy just as often as the actives. We are the Army. We may be part time, but how many people that read this can say that they work 2 jobs and one of them they don't get paid for 75% of what they do. Well we do, and we do it proudly. I love every aspect of what I do.

So don't degrade us by saying "oh they are only reservists". We really are much, much more than that.

OK, that's all I have for today all! Have a great week, and don't forget to vote tomorrow!!!

The Field

Welcome to another great Friday! For some, its just another day trying to restore order in their lives, to most, its going to be a fun filled weekend, to me, Its a weekend in the field.

This weekend I will be at the range at Camp Dawson, qualifying with my M-16. Haven't done this in a while, but if my memory serves me correctly, I should have no problem what-so-ever. I brought the glasses just in case. I don't wear my glasses often, but when it comes to seeing for my career, I think they are essential. I report tonight, directly after work. We will be back on some time Sunday afternoon. I'm not sure about cell phone service up there, but if anyone wants to get in touch with me, you can try, but I make no promises.

The only problem with Camp Dawson is its going to be cold. They got three feet of snow dumped on them, so I will be fighting off frostbite. This is the problem with having to buy all of your own uniforms while waiting for your stuff to be delivered. You only purchase the essentials. Oh well, I have enough civilian gear to keep me warm!

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll let you know how everything goes on Monday! Please continue to pray for everyone on the Jersey Shore, and you may want to add in a little word for my toes staying attached while you are at it!

Thursday

Good morning All! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is doing great, and in high spirits. Just remember, what ever is lost can be replaced, but life will keep going strong. Its great to see all the support that the Jersey Shore is getting, and I know that you have 35,000 gallons of diesel fuel coming your way, along with a few people to help. Good luck, and remember, you are are still in my prayers!

That's really all I have for today.

Tuesday's Gone
by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Train roll on, on down the line,
Won't you please take me far, far away.
Now I feel the wind blow, outside my door,
I'm leavin' my woman at home, oh yeah.
Tuesday's gone with the wind,
My baby's gone, gone with the wind.
And I don't know, oh, where I'm goin'.
I just want to be left alone.
When this train ends, I'll try again.
I'm leavin' my woman at home.
My baby's gone

Tuesday's gone with the wind.
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
My baby's gone, with the wind.
Train roll on
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
My baby's gone, with the wind.

Train roll on
Train roll on many miles from my home, see I'm,
I'm ridin' my blues, babe, blues away, yeah.
But Tuesday you see, a she had to be free.
Somehow I got to, to carry on.
My baby's gone.

Tuesday's gone with the wind.
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
Tuesday's gone with the wind.
My baby's gone, with the wind.

Train roll on...train roll on...
Roll on train...roll on train...roll on train
Train roll on...the train, it rolls on
Train rolls on I can't change, I can't change,
I can't change, I can't change,I can't change...
Ride on train
I can't change
Train roll on
Lord, I can't change
I can't change
