Good Morning All! Happy Monday!
Just to let everyone know, my football picks went 4 for 4 this weekend. This weeks picks will be entered this weekend, and should be a little tougher to pick. We'll see how it goes.
Here was my weekend:
Friday- Stayed home and watched a couple of movies. Got uniforms ready for drill on Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday- Drill. Started the day off bright and early. Mission was to load up all of one of our platoons gear and bring it about 100 miles away. For those that don't know, I drive a large truck called a PLS. While loading this truck, I was securing the load with ratchet straps. One of the 20 or so straps broke. It whipped around and slapped me right in the cheek. Now for those of you that have never had this happen before, let me describe it a little for you: Its sort of like having a 300 pound woman slap you with all of her weight using a ping pong paddle.... Not the greatest feeling in the world. No blood, so the mission carried on. Then it was time to drive. Made it too our destination, unloaded, I got some of my uniforms, then we drove back. Once back, we did a few classes then left around 1830.
Sunday- Drill. Trained four lucky soldiers on how to drive the PLS. They all did fairly well (meaning, we didn't wreck anything), but they need a little more training. We had class, cleaned up, then left at around 1630.
Well, that's about all! I hope you had a great weekend! I'm thinking I need to take a trip here soon, but I haven't decided on where I will go just yet.
