Why is it that people who are unhappy with themselves have to spew their anger and negativity toward others? I don't do that to other people, so don't do that to me. Don't look down on someone because they are different. Just because someone else has a different point of view doesn't mean they are wrong, in some cases they may be more right then you think. That's the great thing about this country, we can do and say almost anything we want. Now, don't be going to extremes on me, you know what I mean by almost.

My point is, people deserve to be happy, don't be negative all the time, and live your life. Life is much to short to be a down and out, negative bitch. If you disagree, I pray for you, because you need it more than anyone else.

March

Well here it is. Ending another month and starting another. Time sure does fly. Life is great right now, Some aches and pains but I'm not getting any younger. I have now been sober for 83 days, and honestly it doesn't really effect me any more. I have lost 34 lbs so far and i am working toward my goal of 100 lbs total loss. When I go back into the Army I want to be as fit and light as possible, and I want to be able to pass the PT test, if not Max it before I leave. Not an easy task I know, but its doable. Here's a list of what i need for PT scores, 60% is Passing, and 100% is Max: (60%/100%)

There's my goals.... Not going to be easy by any means, but if I bust my ass, I will Succeed.....

Well Here it is

Well after much speculation from my friends and family, I am here with the news of my plans. Some of you already know this, some of you don't but just to clear the air on some things, so here it is.

I am going back into the army.

I know for some of you its not a big surprise. I'm not sure whether or not it will be in the reserves or active, but it is going to be done. I still have some weight to lose, and I have to get my body conditioned to run 3 miles, that way I will have no problem running my Pt test. A lot of the things that go with the army have yet to be decided, like what job, and so forth, but just know that I will do whats best for me. Yes, I am still in my selfish its all about Sam mode, but you know what, If I'm not going to take care of my self, who is?

Football suspensions

OK, Here's another one of Sam's soon to be famous rants.

Why are you going to suspend a head coach for paying players for good hits. Obviously, the referee's weren't doing their jobs if these hits were illegal. If the coaches were owners, this would be OK. Tell me a defensive player doesn't hit a little harder on a contract year, and I will tell you that you are full of shit. I mean come on now, they have already put skirts on quarterbacks, whats next? Football is going to turn into flag football. Let the guys play the game. They get paid enough to fix the medical problems that they incur. Maybe I'm being insensitive, but as a football fan, I don't want to see the league turn to shit.

March Madness (part 2)

Well hello again world. Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was good. Friday I fished (didn't catch shit). Saturday, I hung out with a few friends, went to the Moose lodge, then played football. My football team is now 4-0 and still in first place, with out two toughest games coming in weeks six and seven. Sunday, I went to the Moose again, then went home and did some cleaning.

Anyway, lets get to business...

Good Morning World!!!!

One of the best thing created I believe is Amazon.Com. The last few weeks I have spent a few dollars on there and I can't believe how fast the stuff comes here. Today my new camera kit arrives. It wasn't scheduled to be here until next week. Can we say awesome?!?!?!?!?!? Life as we know it

Hello all, Sorry I have been out of the loop for the last few days, but sometimes you just have to do real work, and since the blog doesn't make me money, sometimes I won't get to it right away or even at all.

Anyway, here's a run down of my awesome weekend.

Friday night I went fishing. Didn't have the outcome that we wished, but we did catch six fish, none of which were keepers.

Saturday, gym, then went to hang out with a few friends I haven't seen in a while. Friday night was my first night back to playing football. We won, but I am paying the price still because my back is still killing me. However, the team is in first place, maybe we can stay up there for a while!

Sunday, went to the gym and cleaned. Then I watched the race. Nothing overly exciting, but that was my weekend.

I have also come to a few conclusions about what I am going to do with my life. Your never too old for the "what am I going to be when I grow up" question. I'm not going to get into it on here yet, but just know that it is life changing for myself, but its something I have wanted to do for a very long time.

I have been sober now for 74 days, and I am loving it. I have also lost almost 31 lbs (30.8 to be exact). only 69 more to go!!!

New Phone

Well hello again world.... I finally received my new phone today! Well actually it arrived Friday, but since I cut out of work after only 8 hours, I wasn't here after it arrived.

What I got is a Droid RAZR Maxx. Its a cool phone. Bigger than my blackberry Storm, but it seems to have better color. Its going to take a while for me to figure this thing out so I guess you are going to have to bear with me for a little bit. I have figured out text messaging, and a little bit of Face book. Other then that, I'm lost!

March Madness

Well Its that time of year again. Where all college basketball get very interesting, and where everyone fills out there bracket with a chance to win money. In my case that bracket could be $1million. Well here it is, how I have everything panned out. Just remember, there is no bias this year because neither of my teams made it to the dance.....

The number one seeds:

Kentucky- The only number one seed I have going to the final four.

Syracuse- I originally had them also going to the Final Four, but since their star player is now ineligible for the tournament, I had to remove them. I now have them losing to Vanderbilt in the Sweet 16.

Michigan St.- I have them losing to Memphis in the round of 32. My big upset for the year. I have a soft spot for Memphis.

North Carolina- I have NC losing to Kansas in the Elite 8.


My Final Four is:

But from the looks of it, both of my vacation weeks won't be for a while. I will be joining friends in Chincoteague, Va in August Sometime, and will be with Family in North Carolina in September.

The only problem with this is.... Its only March. Thats a whole six months before I get a break longer than an extended weekend. Oh well, at least i will get some time off, for fishing and sun.

The Blue Cat

When you see the title, I bet you think of something furry, runs around on four legs, and can be a massive pain in the ass sometimes. Well I'm not talking about that kind of cat. What I am going to talk about is the Blue Catfish. These mammoths come from down south, but have invaded the Potomac River in Southern Maryland.

Usually, I fish for Channel Catfish. Much smaller, and easily found in western Maryland. However, coming up soon, I will make the two hour trip to go after these behemoths. The state record has been broken three times this year already, and its only early March. The record now stands at 80 lbs. and they are regularly pulling out 50+ lb fish. I have got to get in on this action.

Welcome to a fantastic fun filled week! Only 5 workdays till the weekend. I know I am rushing life by wishing away Monday through Friday, but it is what it is.

Everyone has that person they work with or are friends with that frequently they find themselves thinking “this person is a complete waste of oxygen” I found mine today. To protect the name of the not so brilliant lets call him Bob. Bob has his “lofty” position only due to family influence in the company hierarchy. Been there for probably 5 years but your cant teach or tell him anything. Especially not if your “just a temp” whose only been with the company for 3 months and in the current department for 2 weeks.

His blind sightedness I blame fully on his parents. Parents as a whole fill their children’s heads with overindulged and all too often unachievable goals. “I wanna be a astronaut when I grow up” says little Johnny or Suzzy. And the parents say “Why of course, you can be anything you want to be when you grown up.” But they fail to remember saying that when their child is spelling their name in pee on the couch. Astronaut? Are you kidding me? Closest to being an astronaut that YOUR kids gonna get is putting the Buzz Lightyear toy in a freakin happy meal. “Would you like fries with that?”
So while fuming not so silently to myself after being told I was “stupid” and “had no idea what I was talking about”, I compiled a list of jobs for “Bob” that I feel he would be more suited for. And for all those waste of oxygen people in your life, I’m sure you can find one on here that fit them.

OK, so there's something that is bothering me about this weather. It can't seem to make up its mind whether it wants to be spring or winter. Yesterday it was 70 degrees. Tonight, when I would like to go fishing, it is supposed to be 25 degrees. Ugh.... Oh well, I'll still be out there hopefully, sitting on the dock, catching dinner for the next week or so. I can't wait until its at least in the 50-60 range at midnight! OK, enough with my bitching.....

3 Short Months

Wow, Well here it is.... I have been doing this blog now for only 3 months, but it seems like much longer. I want to thank everyone who has read, and continues to read the blog. Its not going anywhere, and I will continue to release frustration through this venue. Since I have started this, I have Moved on from a couple relationships, Quit Drinking, Started bettering myself by joining weight watchers, and going to the gym, and I have felt the best I have in a long time. Thank You everyone for your support, and lets keep rocking!!!!

In the future, There will be many more pictures coming, along with lots of positive events, with the occasional negative, just because that's life, and it happens!

New Adventure

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!!! Or as most of you know it, HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

Well soon, I am starting a new adventure. No, I'm not quiting my job. I am going to advance my hobby of taking pictures. I love to travel, and I love taking pictures, so why not mix the 2? I will also try to eventually sell the pictures, but that's not a big deal, I'm not desperate for the cash, I just want to do it.

So, I'm going to need a few things. Does anyone recommend a certain Digital SLR camera? I want one that is good, but not too expensive. Also, I am going to need a new printer. Does anyone recommend a certain type? Or is there any type of computer program that is good for editing? Any help on these topics would be greatly appreciated.

Controversy

Well hello again everyone, sorry for being MIA yesterday. I wasn't really sure what to write about and I kept drawing a blank so I decided just to take the day off. It happens, but now I am back and I am writing once again. Well This is what happened this weekend, then I will get into something that may be a little controversial.

Friday night I played poker, went OK, I finished 8th out of 60+ people. I should have won, but I made some stupid decisions. Oh well, there's always next time.

Saturday, Gym first thing in the morning, then went home and sanded and stained the old gun cabinet I received. It looks pretty good so far, I just have to finish doing the doors.

Sunday, Gym then painted the future sports room... The room doesn't have a name yet, but it is being painted white and hunter green (NY Jets colors). Should look really good when its done. I plan on hanging up all of my autographs when I'm finished, along with military memorabilia, and anything else that means something to me. I also plan on putting my desk in there along with a new photo printer, I'm going to start taking a lot more pictures and maybe I can make a few dollars off of them. If not, it will still be fun to do.


Now with all of that being said, I get into something else that happened last Friday. On my Facebook page I wrote the following:

What the hell is wrong with people? I'm not mad, I'm just confused. Why do people let other peoples writings on social media dictate their happiness level? If someone pisses u off by expressing how they feel, don't listen. You don't have to agree with them but they are entitled to their opinion. On another note, why the hell do people feel they need to infringe on the rights of others. I'm not gay... (as most of you already know), but my problem is this: Maryland just passed a law legalizing gay marriage, but people are trying to stop this law. Are gays different people? Do they not deserve the same rights as the rest of us? Just because you don't agree with their lifestyle, doesn't mean u have to stop them from being happy.
