Easter Post

Happy Easter All!

Well, I had a choice tonight, I could either drink the rest of the bottle of wine that I had opened or I could sit down and write... Well hows this for determination to stay sober. I will use this blog tonight for what it was created for, to be able to put my thoughts on paper. It doesn't matter if people read this, it just matters that I get it out of my head.

I am not a perfect person. Its not hard for me to admit that. EVER. I know that I make mistakes, its human nature. However, its times like this that I get a little lonely. Phones been silent almost all day, but thats to be expected, people are with their families, as they should be. As I am sitting here I think.

I think about my accomplishments.

I think about my defeats.

I think about my goals.

I think about what I still have to do.

I think about all the women I have done wrong, or have done me wrong (one list is a lot longer than the other, trust me).

I think about the Army and the oath I have taken to defend this great country of ours.

In the end it all comes down to the fact that my life is pretty damn good. There could be more, theres always room for more, but that will come.

Anyway, that all being said, I started watching the Walking Dead today. Why the hell didn't I start watching this sooner?

I think in the near future, I will be doing a lot of fishing and getting back to my roots. The time is now. You only get one life, why wait for greatness?

Who Gets hurt in the end?

Happy Friday All!!!! Its going to be another fantastic weekend, but before I get into that, I have something to get off of my chest.

Sequester....

This word has been thrown around by our government a lot lately. They say that we aren't going to hurt our soldiers. Well, here we go. Fucked in the butt without lube or a reach around. As of yesterday, our Annual Training was canceled. How are we supposed to defend the country without the opportunity to do our jobs? We were supposed to leave on Monday, and be gone for 3 weeks. I don't mind as much as most because my civilian job pays much more, but when we do get deployed, what are we expected to do? Learn on the fly? There should always be money in the budget for training. Fix this Government, our country depends on the few soldiers who give their everything for it.

Anyways, here's my weekend. Changes are bound to happen:

Friday- Possibly a poker game. I have to make sure that its still on. If not, I'll figure out something to do.

Saturday- Up to run early in the morning. Football practice at 1030. Afterwards I'll be fishing with an awesome pretty little lady. She'll probably catch more fish then me, but it will be fun either way.

Sunday- Happy Easter in advance. Cleaning and Laundry, then I will cook my own healthy Easter dinner. If anyone wants to come over, let me know, so I can get extra food. I may even dye eggs.

Have a great one all!

"The living keep living, because the deceased can't" - Sam Hassell 3/27/13
We lost a great person last night
R.I.P KW, you will be missed by all.

OK... Now that I have said that.... This ones about me. I fell off the wagon. Hey everyone that I drunk texted, sorry. If you happened to come by my house, I was probably passed out already, once again sorry. It happens. I'm not a perfect person, and we all know this.

I debated whether or not to write anything today, just for the fact that every time I right after I have an all night bender, it gets myself in trouble. If anyone gets offended by this post, you might be crazy, because really its about no one other then myself.

I live my life by one rule, do it for yourself. Lately, I have been feeling sorry for myself, as you all could probably see by my posts, and Facebook statuses. I'm done with that shit. Last night, my drunk ass had revelations, and guess what, I do it my way. The filter is back off. I have slipped from being myself, and I have no one to blame other then me. Time for me to put my big boy pants back on, and be happy with what I have. Things will come, in time, but I will not stop living while I wait for them...

Have a decent day all....

Who's Humping?

Happy Hump Day All! Here we go again! Its half way through the week, and we are moving toward yet another weekend!

As you all know, I have a lot of success with women (there's sarcasm in there trust me). Is it me, or is it them? Shit, I don't know, but I'm hoping that this will change. I have come out and straight up told women how I feel about them and this has tended to bite me in the ass. So that being said, how do you know if a woman is into you? or still into you? Most people aren't as vocal as I am, and I really wish they were. I'm not a mind reader, even though I can usually tell in my gut, whether its right or not. Shit, maybe, I just read into things too much. Maybe, I'm destined to be single forever... Shit I hope not...

Anyway.... Weekends coming up, anyone have any good plans? For some its a long weekend, for me, its the same, 2 days off, then back at it in the morning on Monday.

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope everyone has a great day! Just remember, If you aren't feeling great about something, its time to change it!

Break in Service

Happy Tuesday All! Its a little cold and foggy over here, but Spring is just around the corner...

Wait, you say its already here? You could have fooled me.

Well, as you all know, I am in the Army, and I have duties to perform. So that being said, the blog will be weird for a couple of weeks, while I attend Annual Training. Since I will be in a different time zone, I will try to write daily, but I can't promise anything. It all depends on the work load, and all of that other good crap. I can't say exactly where I'll be, or when I leave, but you'll know, and understand.

Anyway, Lifes just peachy. I'm weeding out people who were supposedly friends, and making new ones. There are good people out there, and we should surround ourselves with them!

Well, that's all I have for today! I hope you all have a great one!

Holy Fool
by The Boondock Saints

I know there's something happening here
I know there's something happening here
Do my eyes deceive my ears?
Can you feel that man?
Can you feel that man?
I sure as hell can...
Can you feel that man?
Two thousand years I've reigned
As the King of Man
And every morning you felt my guiding hand (yeah)
What'd you do to deserve me?
I spread my wings and my minions sing
I know you heard it, man
Yet my sun still shines on your back
Your mountains
Your sins
You gotta come to me
You gotta come to me
With your arms outstretched, baby (you better come to me)
And on your knees
'Cos I'm your holy (holy)
Your holy fool
I am your holy fool
Yes I'm your holy (holy)
Your holy fool
I am your holy fool
Power has descended forth from my hand
I know you felt it, man
Yet my sun still shines on your back
Your mountains
Your sins
Yes, I know that you fear me
I call upon you from my holy hill
Sometimes I ask you to live
Sometimes to kill, oh yeah
Sometimes I ask you to kill
You gotta come to me (you gotta come)
You gotta come to me (you gotta come)
With your arms outstretched, baby (you better come to me)
And on your knees
'Cos I'm your holy (holy)
Your holy fool
I am your holy fool
Yes I'm your holy (holy)
Your holy fool
I am your holy fool
Yes I'm your holy (holy)
Your holy fool
I am your holy fool

The Human Race

Happy Snow filled Monday All! I hope everyone is enjoying the white stuff, and hopefully you didn't have to drive through it this morning like I did. If you did, I hope you made it in one piece.

I haven't decided if I am going to write about my weekend yet, because honestly theres some parts I would just rather forget about. Its over, and its time to move on.... But instead, here's something that has been bugging me.

What happened to people treating people with respect? I mean seriously, it goes both ways. Men should treat women with respect, and women, should also treat men with respect. Its a circle people. What happened to the golden rule? I live my life giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you just act so stupid that its obvious. Maybe its me and my trust issues, or maybe, I was just right all along.

Men- Stop treating women like crap. you are ruining them for the few of us guys that know how to treat a lady. Holding doors open, taking them out, telling them nice things, NOT putting them down. These are things that should be done. Its one thing to act "macho", but women need a guy who treats them right. Also, I guarantee, the next guy I hear about hitting a woman will get the business end of a baseball bat. Just throwing that out there. Ask around, I've done it before. Stop walking all over women. They have earned there place in this world, just as we all have. I swear if I hear of another woman not dating men, because 1) we are all assholes, or 2) there are no good guys out there, Sam's going to go bat-shit crazy...

Women- Stop falling for the shit. If you go for "bad boys" (who really most of them are just a bunch of inconsiderate, tiny dick assholes) you sort of already know what you are getting into. There are great guys out there. We usually come in after the bad boys, because you realize that they are exactly what I just explained them as. Nerds and nice guys need loving too! You deserve the world, so why don't you let a good one show you it...

OK, off the soap box for a little bit. Here's my weekend:

Friday Night- Drama

Saturday Night- Matts birthday, then drama...

Sunday- Went on my first Archaeological dig in and around an old Victorian mansion in Taneytown. I found a part of a plate, a bunch of hand forged nails, and a hinge that looks like it was from an old barn or shed. For those that know me well, this was right up my alley! I love history, and I love antiques. Mix them both for hours where I'm finding my own, priceless. The experience (along with the beautiful lady with me) was awesome! I hope to get to do it again some time, but next time I want to ride the tractor! Lol...

Any way's.... That was my weekend. I know nobody will follow my advice above, but I don't care. I feel much better letting it out.

Have a great week all! If you have to go out in the snow, be careful!

Good Living

Happy Friday All!!!! We made it to yet another weekend, and this one should end up being a great one!

Last night I picked up an old friend and headed out to the premiere of "Pride". The story about a community and its football. It was great to see so many old faces there. Hopefully, we won't have such a long time between meetings. The movie was good too. If anyone is interested in getting a copy, its $25 or you can just come to my house and watch it.

Well, without further delay, here's a glance into my weekend. Its still full of uncertainty, but here's what I am planning.

Friday- Maybe the gym and packing. Maybe I'll have company... I haven't really planned tonight out yet. I thought about going fishing, but who knows.

Saturday- Up early to head to Middletown for the Francie 5k. I'm still debating running in it, because of the upcoming PT test I have, and my knee still being in pain. Saturday night is still up in the air.. Do I go fishing with a beautiful young lady, or do I go to Hollow Creek to hang out with all my friends. Both sound extremely fun. Its also one of my best friends birthdays. I guess most of everything depends on whether he comes up from Va or not. We'll see what happens.

Sunday- Cleaning, possibly fishing, and maybe I can get some company to come hang out.

Well, that's all I have for today! I hope everyone has a great one!!!

Pushing Myself

Happy Thursday All!!!! Its so close to the weekend, I can smell it! Tonight is premiere night. How many people can say that a movie was made of their High School, and their football program that they played for?

Well, this morning I woke up at 1am. I told myself I wasn't going to go to the gym, because I could use the extra sleep on occasion. Well, once I tried to go back to sleep, and I realized I was wide awake, I pushed myself to go to the gym at 0230. Sleep would be nice, but sometimes, health has to take a precedence. Oh well, I'll sleep when I'm dead, right?

I hope to see a lot of old faces at the premiere tonight! Its going to be a great time.

The Boys Of Fall
by Kenny Chesney

When I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass
I'm back in my helmet, cleats, and shoulder pads
Standin' in the huddle listenin' to the call
Fans goin' crazy for the boys of fall

They didn't let just anybody in that club
Took every ounce of heart and sweat and blood
To get to wear those game day jerseys down the hall
The kings of the school, man, we're the boys of fall

[Chorus:]
Well it's, turn and face the stars and stripes
It's fightin' back them butterflies
It's call it in the air alright yes sir we want the ball
And it's knockin' heads and talkin' trash
It's slingin' mud and dirt and grass
It's I got your number, I got your back
When your back's against the wall
You mess with one man, you got us all
The boys of fall

In little towns like mine that's all they got
Newspaper clippings fill the coffee shops
The old men will always think they know it all
Young girls will dream about the boys of fall

[Chorus:]
Well it's, turn and face the stars and stripes
It's fightin' back them butterflies
It's call it in the air alright yes sir we want the ball
And it's knockin' heads and talkin' trash
It's slingin' mud and dirt and grass
It's I got your number, got your back
When your back's against the wall
You mess with one man, you got us all
The boys of fall

[Chorus:]
Well it's, turn and face the stars and stripes
It's fightin' back them butterflies
It's call it in the air alright yes sir we want the ball
And it's knockin' heads and talkin' trash
It's slingin' mud and dirt and grass
It's I got your number, got your back
When you back's against the wall
You mess with one man, you got us all
The boys of fall

We're the boys of fall
We're the boys of fall

Pride

Pride refers to a satisfied sense of attachment toward one's own or another's choices and actions, or toward a whole group of people, and is a product of praise, independent self-reflection, or a fulfilled feeling of belonging.
- Wikipedia

Happy Hump Day all! Its Wednesday, and that means that we are half way through the week! Congrats! I hope everyone has something fun planned this weekend, if not, I hope you are at least going to relax.

Pride in ones self
Pride in country
Pride in your service
Pride in Middletown High School....

Tommorrow is the debute of the Movie "Pride". It is about the Middletown Knights Football program. I was a member of the team from 1995-1997. Once a Knight, always a Knight. Its probably one of the only places that I have ever been, where you know that if you show up to a football game, you are going to see someone you know.

How many people actually show up to the annual Homecoming Football game? We not only show up, we throw parties! We all have a great sense of pride in our community, a lot of people have never left. I know if I could afford it, I would still live in Middletown. Until that day, I will continue to support the MHS Athletics.

I hope to see everyone at the premier tomorrow night at the High School! Its going to be a great time!

Have a great one all!

Sleepless Nights

Happy Tuesday All! How was your Monday? I hope it was more productive then mine was. All this ice and snow, is putting a wear on me.

Well, Last night I couldn't sleep again, so I have decided that whenever I can't sleep I will go to the gym. So I was there at 0130 on a Tuesday Morning. Theres even less people there then at 3am. I'm going to be really sore, because I have started rehabbing the knee. Please don't laugh at me when you see me, because I will probably be walking a little funny for the next few weeks.

I think I am still going to try to run the 5k this weekend. Hopefully the knee stays in place lol.

Well, that's all that I really have today. I hope everyone has a great one!

Its 5 O'clock Somewhere
by Alan Jackson

The sun is hot and that old clock is movin' slow,
An' so am I.
Work day passes like molasses in wintertime,
But it's July.
I'm gettin' paid by the hour, an' older by the minute.
My boss just pushed me over the limit.
I'd like to call him somethin',
I think I'll just call it a day.

Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

Oh, this lunch break is gonna take all afternoon,
An' half the night.
Tomorrow mornin', I know there'll be hell to pay,
Hey, but that's all right.
I ain't had a day off now in over a year.
Our Jamaican vacation's gonna start right here.
Hit the 'phones for me,
You can tell 'em I just sailed away.

An' pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

I could pay off my tab, pour myself in a cab,
An' be back to work before two.
At a moment like this, I can't help but wonder,
What would Jimmy Buffet do?

Funny you should ask that because I'd say:
Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.

Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
He don't care.
I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

What time zone am on? What country am I in?
It doesn't matter, it's five o'clock somewhere.
It's always on five in Margaritaville, come to think of it.
Yeah, I heard that.
You been there haven't you.
Yes sir.
I seen your boat there.
I've been to Margaritaville a few times.
All right, that's good.
Stumbled all the way back.
OK. Just wanna make sure you can keep it between the navigational beacons.
Bring the booze, I tell you.
All right. Well, it's five o'clock. Let's go somewhere.
I'm ready, crank it up.
Let's get out of here.
I'm gone.
Let's get out of here

One Weekend at a Time

Happy Monday All! I had a lot of running around this weekend, but all in all, it was a good one! I hope everyone survived their annual drinking of green beer, and welcome back.

Here is my weekend:

Friday- Left work early because basically I was tired, and being unproductive. It also caused me to feel a little ill, so instead of making the company spend more money on me, I took a half day. Went home relaxed, and started feeling better. Then I decided to meet up with a friend for some dinner. We went to Brubakers down in Winchester, Va. Good food, nice staff, and a good atmosphere. Afterwards, we drove around a little, then I went home.

Saturday- Up bright and early to drive to my brothers house. I went to the all-you-can-eat buffet at Shady Maple. The food there is awesome. I'll break a diet anytime for that. Then my brother and I went to pick up a dresser. When we got there, the dresser wasn't there. It was at a different Walmart 40 minutes away. Time to start driving... Got to the next Walmart, they wouldn't let us have the dresser because it was under our mothers name. After a few phone calls, everything was handled and we left with the dresser. Got back to his place and started putting it together. We stopped once everyone got there. We ended the night by going to the Texas Roadhouse. Food was good, but the waitress was a little over bubbly.... or maybe it just seemed like it because I was exhausted. After dinner, i said my good-bye's, and headed home. The only thing I wish I could have changed about the day is having someone drive up and back with me, because it makes the drive seem a heck of a lot shorter.

Sunday- Cleaned, did laundry, and set up some of my army gear for annual training. At 2pm, we had a football meeting for the Alumni Game. This things going to happen! I hope we get a lot of fan support! Afterwards, I went home, watched TV, and relaxed a little.

A last little thing, This is post number 300! Who would have ever thought that I would be writing for so long, and so much. Thank you for all of my supporters, and keep reading! Without the reader there would be no blog, so as long as you are here, so am I!

Well that's all for now! I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Heart Attack

Happy Friday All! I hope everyone has some fun and exciting things planned for this weekend! I know I do.

Well, This morning was pay day and I had a mini heart attack... I found 2 checks in my bank account. So my entire hour drive to work, I thought I was getting laid off. When I got here, there was a voice mail on my desk phone from my boss saying that we had gotten bonuses. Woo Hoo! I'm happy but relieved at the same time. Usually we have meetings with our manager before a bonus comes. I guess he forgot about that. Doesn't matter to me as long as the money is in the bank! Could have saved that heart attack though...

Well, here's my weekend, fairly boring, with some family time sprinkled in:

Friday- work, then home to relax for a little while, Might be time to play with my new toy.

Saturday- Wake up at the ass crack of dawn to go up to Pennsylvania. My family is coming up for my sister-in-laws baby shower. I'm going to hang out with my little brother all day. We are going to breakfast at Shady Maple, then putting a dresser together, then dinner at Smokey Bones BBQ. Then probably back home again.

Sunday- Giving myself a PT test first thing in the morning, then working around the house, and putting together my gear for Annual Training. Lots of cleaning to do.

Well, that's all I have for today. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Pi

Happy Thursday All! It is all national Pi day (3-14 for those that don't get it). For me, its one day closer to the weekend!

I didn't sleep well again last night. I'm not sure if its the time change or something else, but I am constantly up... Hopefully, tonight that all changes. I have no reason to expect that, other then the fact that my ass is already dragging, and its only 0630.

Almost time for Annual Training. I get to see new places for a few weeks. Maybe they will even let us out of our cage to go explore on the weekends. I don't ask too much do I?

Well, that's all that I have for today. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Simple Man
by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Mama told me when I was young
Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say.
And if you do this
It'll help you some sunny day. Oh Yah!
Oh, take your time... Don't live too fast,
Troubles will come and they will pass.
You'll find a woman, yea yea, you'll find love,
And don't forget son,
There is someone up above.

(Chorus)
And be a simple, kind of man.
Oh be something, you love and understand.
Baby be a simple, kind of man.
Oh, won't you do this for me son,
If you can?

Forget your lust, for the rich man's gold
All that you need, is in your soul,
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(Chorus)

Boy, don't you worry... you'll find yourself.
Follow your heart, lord, and nothing else.
And you can do this, oh baby, if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

(Chorus)

Baby be a simple, be a simple man.
Oh be something, you love and understand.
Baby be a simple, kind of man. (Fade out)

Hump Day Part 1 million

Happy Hump day all! Well, we are half way through the week, anyone start making plans for the weekend and St. Patricks Day yet? I have a few plans, but we will get to them later on in the week.

Didn't do too much last night, except go out to dinner with a friend. I sure do love the Sushi Buffet, but it makes me feel fat every time I go. Oh well, sometimes you just have to spoil yourself! Hopefully my friend had as good a time as I did.

St. Patricks Day used to be one of my favorite holidays. Now that I don't drink, its just another day. For those of you that are Irish one day a year, be safe out there! For those of you that are part Irish all of the time, good luck with all of the idiots pretending they are Irish. Everyone gets home safe, and that will make for a great holiday for all!

Well, that's all I have for today, Have a great Hump Day, and I will be back tomorrow morning!

Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off
By Joe Nichols

She said, "I'm going out with my girlfriends
For margaritas at the Holiday Inn"
Oh have mercy my only thought
Was tequila makes her clothes fall off

I told her put an extra layer on
I know what happens when she drinks Patron
Her closet's missing half the things she bought
Yeah, tequila makes her clothes fall off

She'll start by kicking out of her shoes
Lose an earring in her drink
Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall
Drop a contact down the sink

Them panty hose ain't gonna last too long
If the DJ puts Bon Jovi on
She might come home in a table cloth
Yeah, tequila makes her clothes fall off

She can handle any champagne brunch
A bridal shower with Bacardi punch
Jello shooters full of Smirnoff
But tequila makes her clothes fall off

She'll start by kicking out of her shoes
Lose an earring in her drink
Leave her jacket in the bathroom stall
Drop a contact down the sink

She don't mean nothing, she's just havin' fun
Tomorrow she'll say, "Oh what have I done?"
Her friends will joke about the stuff she lost
Yeah, tequila makes her clothes fall off
Oh tequila makes her clothes fall off
Oh tequila makes her clothes fall off

Pain

Well here we go again... Happy Tuesday all. Its all downhill from here! No sleep again last night, so I should crash out pretty early, but here we go anyway!

Well today as I was running my normal hills run, my knee started throbbing. Now, I can barely walk. I guess its time for a stronger knee brace on my left knee. I'm going to have to pick one up after work. I can only hope and pray that its not something major. Good thing I never got rid of the knee immobilizer after the last time it was injured. Life of an old soldier, shit just starts to fall apart.

Well, that all being said, I am in a rather good mood. I have realized that I can do a lot of things that I never would have thought a year ago. Lets just hope my body cooperates just a little bit more!

That's all i really have for today. I hope everyone has a great day!

Pickup Man
By Joe Diffie

Well I got my first truck, when I was three,
Drove a hundred thousand miles on my knees
Hauled marbles and rocks, and thought twice before
I hauled a Barbie Doll bed for the girl next door
She tried to pay me with a kiss I began to understand,
There's just something women like about a Pickup Man

When I turned sixteen, I saved a few hundred bucks
My first car was a Pickup Truck
I was cruisin' the town and the first girl I seen
Was Bobbie Jo Gentry the homecoming queen
She flagged me down and climbed up in the cab, and said
"I never knew you were a Pickup Man!"

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill
But I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille
I've got an eight foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams,
There's just something women like about a Pickup Man

Most Friday nights, I can be found
In the bed of my truck on an old chaise lounge
Backed into my spot at the drive-in show
You know a cargo light gives off a romantic glow
I never have to wait in line at the popcorn stand,
'Cause there's just something women like about a pickup Man

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill
But I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille
I've got an eight foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams,
There's just something women like about a Pickup Man

A bucket of rust, or a brand new machine
Once around the block and you'll know what I mean

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill
And I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe DeVille
I've got an eight foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren't for trucks we wouldn't have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams,
There's just something women like about a Pickup Man

Yeah, there's something women like about a Pickup Man.

Owww, Drive that pickup son...
That's right...

New Beginnings

Happy Monday All!!! Well we got through another weekend, but unfortunately we lost an hour over here. Oh well, that's life, it will be given back to us some time in the fall. Not a whole lot to say today, so here is my weekend...

Friday- Work, then fishing after work. I didn't catch anything, but it was a very relaxing night sitting on the river. Pretty cold though. I guess that's the problem with fishing in March.

Saturday- Got up early to go shopping. Then I went fishing with a friend. Didn't catch too much but had an awesome time anyway. sat on the dock and bull shitted for hours. That's what life is all about, a fishing rod, a river, and great company. Went home afterwards and watched a little TV.

Sunday- Up early for a little more shopping. Cleaned all day, and just relaxed.

This was a weekend I needed to get me going again. To bad it was too short. This week is back hard core on the diet (even though I didn't do to bad on it this weekend).

Well, I hope you all had a great weekend!

Have a great week!

Homeless

Happy Friday all! Here we go again, another weekend is upon us! Found out I am going to the Richmond race with my cousins the weekend I get back from my annual training from the army, that should be a lot of fun! Before I tell you what is going on with me this weekend, I need to get into something else.

Homelessness....

More military veterans are homeless, then any other classification of people. We should be taking care of the people that have taken care of us. We forget that these men, no matter what they are suffering from, lost limb and part of their mentality to get you the freedom that everyone in this country deserve. These men deserve to be taken care of. Not just by the government, but by us, the people of this great nation.

Who deserves to be homeless? Nobody really, but if I have to pick a group of people to change the Vets out with.... Deadbeat men. Men (and I use the term loosely), that beat their girlfriend, wives, boyfriends, whatever they happen to be in. Men that don't know how to treat a lady. Men that have kids and don't know how to take care of their kids. You created them, they are your responsibility, FOREVER!!!!

That brings me to another thing, Ladies, why do you put up with these douche bags? Why do you keep going back to them after they have wronged you? There really are a million men out there that would love to treat you right. Is it the bad boy image? That's got to get old eventually, the novelty wears off doesn't it? Wouldn't you rather a real man, that will tell you that you are beautiful, hold a door open for you, take care of you no matter what? I'm lost here.... Real women deserve the best, not some shallow little boy that will run the second the going gets tough.

OK, I'm off of my soap box... Here's my weekend....

Friday- Nothing, maybe going to look at a truck, but then some business to take care of.

Saturday- Fishing

Sunday- Race and then who knows.

I will be at the gym every day, and have some cleaning and laundry to do...

If anyone feels like calling or stopping by, let me know!

Have a great weekend all!

Sunshine

Happy Thursday All! Or is it Monday? These mid week days off really screw me up. I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. and I hope everyone is back safe...

So how about that snow storm we got? Since when has 20" been actually 4" (Except when men talk about the size of their penis)? As the old joke goes, only baseball players and weather men can be right 30% of the time and be considered the elite in their respective fields. It snowed hard in the morning, then it was all gone by the afternoon. I think my neighbors laughed a little when I was out shoveling snow after the first wave, because ass of their driveways and sidewalks were clear by the afternoon without even lifting a shovel. Good thing I bought all that ice melt Tuesday night...

Anyway....

So this weekend I really want to go fishing. Its March already and I am yet to be on the river. By this time last year, we had already caught our biggest fish. Time to throw on the boots, the cold weather gear, and see what kind of bites I can get.

Well that's all I really have for today! I hope everyone is having a great one!

Life

Happy Wednesday all! Work was shut down today, so I will be here, cleaning and shoveling snow.

As I sit here on my unexpected day off, I am forced to think about decisions I have made in the past. What has brought me to this point in my life. No matter how hard I try, and how much I accomplish, in the end, I am still alone. Closest family a couple hundred miles away, I live alone, and most of my friends have families, and lives of there own. When did I get so old and hermit like? I understand that my choices have warranted a good amount of loneliness, I mean, it's hard to go to the gym as much as I do and live the life of a soldier and family man at the same time.

Maybe I try to hard for certain things?

Maybe, everything comes around in full circle for a reason.

Maybe, I just need to quit bitching, and actually live life.....

Everyone has a good snow day today! I am gonna finish my coffee and go shovel before there's 12" out there....

Fans

Happy Tuesday All! How did that Monday work out for you? Mine was interesting without getting into all the details.

Well, I have noticed that I have quite a few followers lately. people from all over the place saying hello and thanking me for writing the blog. Between Facebook and Google+, there have been quite a few that have reached out to me. I just want to say that I am humbled by the followings, and Thank You for reading. Its nice to know that all of these people read. Without the readers, I wouldn't be here writing, even though this is basically just a forum for me to vent and deal with my day-to-day activities.

Well, that all being said.....

Who's ready for the Snowpacalypse? As of this morning, they are calling for 10-14" of the not so good white stuff. I know with my current car, I won't be going anywhere in the stuff. Its going to be time to relax and catch up on Army courses.... If you do venture out in the stuff, be careful!

Well, that's all I really have for today. Take care, and don't do anything stupid!

WTF

Happy Monday All! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was stressful, because i am trying to get promoted, but other than that it was just another army weekend.

Before I get into my weekend, I want to say something to our government....

Who do you think you are hurting with not being able to pass a budget. You are hurting innocent civilians, and the military. Hours are being cut everywhere, and you are taking our pay. I know you say that the military pay won't be affected. What about our supplies? What about the material we need to complete our missions? While the enemy is getting stronger, we are forced to sit stagnate, until you get your heads out of your ass.

DO YOUR JOB!!!!

This is why you were elected. Part of running a country is running the financial aspects of it. You are supposed to be creating jobs, and work, yet you are taking money away from people who need it. Why don't you start by giving up your paycheck until the budget is passed? Are you happy with what is happening? If so, I know who I won't be voting for next election....

Anyway....

Here's my weekend. Fairly boring, but it is what it is:

Friday- Gym, then work. Went to Ft. Detrick for a haircut and some Sushi. Then, went home and got all of my stuff ready for the weekend.

Saturday- Up bright and early to put the uniform on. Worked on my promotion packet most of the day. Gave a class on how to run a generator. Then it was time to go home. Went to bed fairly early.

Sunday- Gave a class on the Laws of War. That was fun..... well maybe not really, but training needed to be done. Worked on my promotion packet some more. Then home again.

Well, I hope everyone has a great week! Be safe in the snow on Wednesday!

Another Green Weekend

Happy Friday all!!! Well, we have made it through another week, aren't you happy? I know I am.

I bet you are asking yourself, "why is he so happy? He has reserves all weekend." Well, I am happy because I know that one weekend a month, and a few weeks a year, I get to serve this great nation of ours. I say a few weeks a year, because I am going to be doing seven this year, instead of the usual two for Reservists. Yea, that's right, Shit is real!

I love almost everything I do. However, today is March 1st and I still haven't been fishing... This needs to change quickly. Maybe I'll be at the river next weekend....

Well, here's my weekend, short and sweet:

Friday- Gym, work, then going to get my hair cut. Afterwards, I thought about going to the Moose Lodge, but I may just go home and relax for a while. Maybe even watch a couple of movies!

Saturday- Up bright and early for Drill. Afterwards, I am going to try and hit the gym. It all depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

Sunday- Same as Saturday. Drill, and possibly the gym.

Well, its not the ideal weekend for some, but for me, its life! I hope you all have a great one!!!
