"Why do I do what I do? If you are talking about the Army, and why I just can't leave it, its because my country has my heart. Someday, A woman will fall in love with me, but she will have to write both my congressman, and the Army and ask to be issued a part of mine. She will never get the whole thing, a majority, but not a whole. However, She will understand, because its soldiers that keep us safe at night, and protect us. So that is why I do what I do, because for the last 14 years, I have tried both sides, and I just can't leave." - Sam Hassell 13 October 2012
Well Happy Monday Everyone! I had a rather exciting weekend (I lie, It was boring). I got to see a lot of old faces, and meet quite a few new ones. All-in-all, the weekend was successful, and I have some new goals. Here it is...
Friday- Work, Then I went to see a salesman about a truck. 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona. It is a beautiful truck and ran awesome, but I will not be purchasing it. Makes me sad, but I really need to save some money to knock the payment down now that the Mustang is paid off. After the test drive, Went to the Moose for a Cornhole tournament. I won the first match, then lost the next two matches. Then time to go home and get some sleep.
Saturday- Army SRP.... Its a yearly even that makes sure your records are correct and up to date so that you will deploy a lot easier. I got to see a lot of the old faces in there. It was GREAT to be back. I didn't get too talk to as many as I wanted too, but we are going to the range next month and maybe I'll be able to sit down with a few more. I also, got my uniforms ordered (I'm borrowing some for the range next month.)
Sunday- Army SRP (Day 2).... Yup, more sitting around waiting to get records updated. I got to talking to a few people and I have been on the fence about this, but I am pretty sure I am going to go Warrant Officer. Its a new goal of mine. I have a few things to do to achieve it. Here they are (this is directly from the site):
Well, theres my weekend in review, I hope everyone had a great one!
