Happy Friday All!!!! Its going to be an epic weekend. Tomorrow it all sets in. Its my first day back at drill in over 6 years. I'm excited; extra money, something to do on the weekends, good friends, travel, adventure, and all of the "Hurry up and wait" I can handle! To further my career, I plan on volunteering for any class they will let me take. It all looks good on any resume, so why not?
So here is my weekend, and as usual, I don't expect any of this to actually take place, because, well, things change.
Friday- Work.... Then I am going to look at a new pick-up truck. I'm not hard up on getting one yet, but I did find a nice little Dodge 1500 Daytona. I'm going to test drive it, and see what they can offer. I tend to be fairly good at negotiating, and usually make the person feel bad for charging me anything so this should be good. Maybe this year I won't be driving the orange blaze of glory in the snow. Don't worry ladies, the Mustang isn't going anywhere, I just need something with 4-wheel drive.
Saturday- 0630 formation so that we can drive to Romney for SRP. This is where they update all of your records, and make sure everything is in order. I don't have a will made up, so I may have to get one done this weekend. Should be pretty easy though. I also have to get my uniforms ordered. Unless they want me to start showing up naked. I hope that's not the case because it is starting to get pretty damn cold out, and shrinkage sucks.
Sunday- I may or may not have a PT test first thing in the morning. All I know is that is I am made to take it, then I will do my best, and I may just pass it. Who knows. I am going to ask that starting next month they test me every month until I pass, so that I can rank up faster. I want to be a warrant officer, and this rank thing is standing in my way (need to be an E-6 to qualify, I'm told). Not too sure what else is planned for Sunday, but I'm sure the Army will let me know.
Well All, That's it. Phone will be on, as long as I have service up there. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!
