Happy Tuesday All! Well, this past weekend was packed full of stuff. Some expected, some not so expected. I just hope I can remember everything I did! I hope everyone has an eventful time! Here's mine:
Friday- Started off working, then I went to the Goodwill store in Frederick for some new clothes. The Gf seems to think I dress like crap, so she is attempting to change that. Sometimes she makes me feel like a damn Ken doll (minus the abs). I know she means well, and at times I really do need to dress better, but sometimes you just need to put on a pair of warm-ups and sandals and chill. So after I went and bought a crap load of new shirts, and a tie, I went to Wegmans grocery store for the first time. That place has everything! Extremely over priced though. I bought myself some Tilapia and Sushi, then it was time to go home.
Saturday- Up bright and early because I had a leak in my roof. This sucked. Good thing I have good friends who like wet roofs. I bleached the hell out of the attic to get rid of any mold, while my buddy tarred the chimney, and scrapped the paint down in the kitchen. Seems like the leak is fixed for now, but I won't be for sure until the next major storm. Now that we were done with that, I took him out to Ryans for helping, then me and the Gf went to Ikea. I bought a new cabinet for the bedroom, a new wine rack, and a shelving unit for the kitchen. Once we got home, she cooked dinner while I put the stuff together, and watched the LSU game.
Sunday- Up early yet again... Yes I am missing the days when I could sleep until noon. Sunday morning was the million vet march on DC. We were meeting at the WWII memorial to protest the closing and barricading of our open air memorials. I mean seriously, why do that? Theres just no good reason. I have been following the limited news coverage of the event, and you really can see how they twist everything. According to one news source, there wasn't any veterans there and it was just a bunch of Tea Party people with signs and causing trouble. Well, I was there and I can tell you that there were plenty of Vets there. We were there for a purpose. Yes, I left before the party moved to the White House, but I was there for about 3 hours and got some awesome pictures. Once I got home, I met up with the Gf and went to KMart so she can do a little Christmas shopping. Then it was back home once again.
Monday- Actually slept until 7... GO Me! Then it was time to clean and do laundry. I ended up at Walmart in the afternoon, because I had a rather large list of stuff I needed. Then I went home and finally relaxed.
I think I need a weekend to recover from the weekend! Its tiring doing everything you want, while fighting for those that can't fight for themselves!
Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend! Be good this week, or at least be good at being bad!
