Well, Its Tuesday! I got a good night sleep last night, that's always a good thing.
This is post number 450. Who would have thought I would still be writing after 2 whole years. I thank each and every reader I have, without you, I would still write, but without purpose.
Todays topic is Military Rivalry. As most of you know, I am in the Army. Have been since 1998, and even when I got out for those 6 years, the mindset has never left. I eat, sleep, drink, and live the Army every day. No matter what is going on in my life, it is, and has been, there for me to a point. Not always how I want it to be there, but always there none the less.
People put down the Army, especially Marines. All together, I really don't have a problem with sibling rivalry, but in the end, we are all fighting for one cause. I have your back, you have mine. If a civilian is giving you shit, I am going to be right there next to you, kicking ass, while calling you a dumb Jarhead the entire time. OK, now it is time for me to say something about each service (Just remember, this is all out of good old fun, and if you have never been in the military, you have no idea):
Air Force- So much I can say about Airmen... Do they still issue you guys nail polish when you deploy? How are the enlisted condos they give you? This is the only service I know that would get substandard living pay for staying in an Army barracks....
Navy- You guys get really lonely on those ships and subs don't you? Bell Bottoms guys? Really? They went out in the 70's? What are you a bunch of hippies?
Marines- I couldn't make it into the Marines because I was too smart. Just remember guys, you are only on this list because The Sailors need dates to the Balls... Marines have dancing Balls too, only because they can't find their own... Just remember, in the end, the Navy owns you. Someday, maybe they will let you guys be your own service.
Coast Guard- I really can't say much about Coasties.... They really stay to themselves. Sorry most people forget about you all when they list the branches.
Well, I hope I offended some people today! Just remember its all in good fun. Feel free to comment and bash the Army, or any other service, out of fun only! Just remember, if you didn't serve, you really don't know!
