Well, Happy Monday All! Its funny how a text in the morning can either make or break your day. Hearing from her is always a great thing.
Well, this last weekend was pretty damn good. I needed it before my upcoming time off. I still plan on doing things during my recovery from surgery, but I will be dependent on others, and those that know me, Its hard for me to ask for help. So, if I bitch here on the blog, its only because I'm bored and have cabin fever. Stop by and keep me company if you have nothing better to do.
Well, with nothing further, here's my weekend:
Friday- Up bright and early to head to the Dr's office. Hopefully, they sent me the notes I need for the Army and for my regular job. If not, I am going to have a whole lot more paperwork to get done. After this, it was time to take a short trip with my beautiful girlfriend and her daughter. I really do love spending time with them. Its never enough, yet, I am not the type to smother anyone, so I take it as I can get it. She decided she wanted to take a trip to Chincoteague Island, Va. Of course with all of my truck problems, she drove. We got there, saw the horses, ate some dinner, then crashed out for the night in a cheap hotel.
Saturday- Well, of course i was up before everyone else. I tried not to wake anyone up, but i seem to have failed miserably on that one. After I was ready I went out to the pool, to just relax and write until everyone else got up. I did write a six page blog, that nobody will ever see. Far too personal for me to put out there. After I was done, I went and got some breakfast, then went back and laid down until everyone was up. Then we went back to the beach to collect shells, and hang out for a little, before the rain started. At about noon, we headed back. On the way, we stopped in Ocean City, took a little walk on the board walk, then got back in the car. By this time it finally stopped raining, so we stopped at Sandy Point Park. The girls went swimming, while I hung out on the beach and just watched. Finally got home around 8, so I cleaned up, and went to bed.
Sunday- Woke up bright and early to clean every inch of my house. I can honestly say that there is no more cat hair, other than whats on the cat. Will it stay that way? Nope... but I can enjoy it while it is. Went to Walmart to get some essentials, then back home to grab my fishing gear. I found a new quiet little spot by the race track, might just be a new spot. I didn't catch anything, but I got some time to think. Went back home, ate dinner, and just relaxed for a while. I never thought I would say it, but I actually missed her Sunday.
Well, that's all I have for today. It was a truly great weekend, and I look forward to many more with the two of them.
