Hero

Every Kid has a hero. Growing up, there's always one person you want to be. Other then my father, I had a few sports hero's growing up. Wayne Gretzky, Magic Johnson, and Gary Carter. Yesterday, at an entirely too soon time, we lost a great man, and a Hall of Fame player, Gary Carter. Every time I got behind home plate, I was "the Kid". He was a great man, told it how it is, and always had a smile on his face. He played for the love of the game, not the money, and today in sports, that just doesn't happen. You will be missed Gary, gone too soon at only 57.
