Good Morning all. Happy Monday and all that stuff. As you all may know, I go around and meet famous people all the time. Usually, collecting autographs, but sometimes you meet a guy you just wanna talk too. Well I was in Las Vegas a few years ago and I was walking around Binions. It was my first night there and I was waiting to pick a friend up from the airport. I saw a tall skinny guy in a cowboy hat standing on the rail in the poker room. It was Amarillo Slim, World famous poker player. So I walked up to him, introduced myself, and started talking to him. He turns to me, smiles, and says "Don't you know its rude to talk while you are sitting on the rail in a poker room?" I answer, "No Sir, Sorry for bothering you" He replied, "Lets go over to the bar, It nicer over there anyway." We talked for a good hour before he had to go. We talked about everything from Life, Death, Marriage, Poker, ETC. It was like talking to my Grandfather, you just hang onto every word he says, because you know he's been there and done that.
Well last night at the age of 83, "Slim" passed away. You are a great man Slim, Rest In Piece. Keep playing poker in Heaven, someday we will meet again, and have another long talk and a beer.
